Job Summary

Compensation: $65,500 - $91,600 (DOQ)

The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers growth opportunities, excellent benefits, and a vibrant work culture.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Financial Record Assessment: Scrutinize accounting records, financial statements, and reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
  • General Ledger Expertise: Prepare precise general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the integrity of our financial data
  • Sales & Use Tax Mastery: Conduct meticulous sales and use tax analysis, ensuring timely compliance through our tax software
  • Annual Property Tax Filings: Manage annual property tax filings efficiently
  • Workflow Management: Navigate complex workflows to ensure accurate General Ledger entries
  • Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end close processes by reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts
  • Code Accuracy Assurance: Review transactional activity, ensuring accurate coding and maintaining financial reporting integrity
  • External Audit Preparation: Prepare documentation for annual external audits
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to other initiatives beneficial to IDI

Qualifications/Skills

  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
  • Able to work independently and with others to contribute to team goals
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
  • Work with detailed information while identifying underlying issues and improvement opportunities
  • Confidence to ask questions and get clarification, display a positive attitude, and have a strong work ethic
  • Must maintain high ethical standards and meet confidentiality requirements to ensure the security and privacy of financial data

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2-4 years accounting experience; sales & use tax experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Avalara tax compliance software preferred
  • SAP background preferred
