Our Associates are responsible for serving multiple clients (covering diverse industries from technology, finance, sports, media, real estate, healthcare, nonprofit and more) and producing a variety of work across brand and reputation management, brand positioning, corporate content, thought leadership, media & analyst relations, and landscape research. Associates will help our clients use these materials, so the job entails some meetings and project management.

Above all else, Associates will operate with support, but also maximum autonomy, and enjoy the unique satisfaction and flexibility that come from doing so.

We manage reputation for emerging brands and large enterprises across all verticals, combining strategy with agility to broaden awareness and deliver tangible business outcomes.

Our team is composed of creatives, authors, journalists, designers, and versatile communicators who have constructed the reputations of the most recognizable brands and executives in the world.

Duties/Responsibilities: Associate, Strategic Communication, this work includes:

  • Assist in day-to-day responsibilities and deadlines, such as supporting weekly client calls and driving agenda creation with the team.
  • Conduct regular media relations across clients and industries, developing media lists and supporting the team in delivering PR results.
  • Create the first draft of memos, pitch decks, thought leadership pieces, and all manner of corporate content, from white papers and case studies to social media and blog posts.
  • Assist in the development of Hirsch Leatherwood's weekly newsletter, Out of Scope, by keeping up with industry news and trends.
  • Bring a broad-minded approach to your work and an interest in learning about diverse communications disciplines.
  • Key player in maintaining the Hirsch Leatherwood Network.
  • Participate in new business projects for new clients.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of project deliverables according to client needs and objectives.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite or related software.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field
  • An exacting work ethic that does not neglect the importance of detail.
  • Experience in client services or the poise to learn such work quickly.

Salary: $55,000-65,000
