Job Description

The Strategic Planner defines the requirements for datacenter SSD products and their associated intellectual property. This person will own driving the initial phases of the POP (Product Opportunity Proposal) process, which includes defining the products requirements, identifying the value proposition, competitive positioning, fit in the product portfolio, and ensuring a positive financial ROI. Strategic planners also define and prioritize the IP roadmap, create new strategies, conduct analysis to optimize the datacenter SSD roadmap, and influence how NVM solutions are deployed in our customers server and storage platforms.


Qualifications

  • Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management/Marketing, or Computer Science (or equivalent) - Required
  • MBA - Preferred
  • 15+ years experience in the computer / high tech field - Required
  • 10+ years in a role that interfaces with customers, including requirements gathering - Required
  • 5+ years of experience with datacenter and/or enterprise storage systems - Preferred
  • 2+ years working with SSDs and/or HDDs; experience with SSD and/or architecture - Required
  • Experience managing external SSD ASIC vendors - Preferred
  • Strong Program Management skills, attention to detail, and organization to coordinate a variety of stakeholders - Required
  • Ability to leverage technical expertise and insights in a team environment and exhibit strong customer orientation - Required
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills required in the development of technical documents and presentations to customers - Required
  • Leadership capability, strong interpersonal communications, and ability to task manage with demonstrated ability to deliver team results - Required
  • Experience with IA server platforms and experience with the integration and testing of IA Server products in a Windows* and/or Linux* operating system environment would be an added advantage - Preferred
  • Experience with NVMe, SAS / SATA, Fiber Channel, RAID controllers, HBAs, Expanders, JBODs - preferred


Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $130,190 to $232,630. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
