Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Intern will be responsible for administering and providing effective and timely support to our employees, managers, and the HR team in the areas of recruitment, on-boarding, termination, and other employee lifecycle activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with HR Business Partner and recruiter to assist with the recruitment process, including:
    • Post jobs internally, externally, and job boards
    • Initiating background checks and vendor credentialing process for relevant field employees
    • Reference checking
    • Generate offer letters, new hire packets and personnel files
    • Serve as recruiting liaison for candidates and hiring managers as needed
    • Schedule interviews and/or coordinate travel with non-local candidates
  • Coordinate New Hire On-Boarding process: initiate new hire notification process, schedule new hire orientations, ensure timely completion of all relevant new hire paperwork including I-9s
  • Responsible for data entry in various HR systems including but not limited to ADP, Clear Company, LMS, Jira, and PIC.
  • Assist with the termination process for employees and contingent workers
  • Process and track wellness reimbursement program, service award program and commute program benefits
  • Administer employee referral program
  • Process employment verification requests
  • Additional HR projects assigned where appropriate
Knowledge And Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HR certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of part-time professional experience
  • Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in HR systems
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive, proprietary and confidential information appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service
  • Must be detail oriented, resourceful, and flexible
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments

Working Conditions

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; sit; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
