The HR Intern will be responsible for administering and providing effective and timely support to our employees, managers, and the HR team in the areas of recruitment, on-boarding, termination, and other employee lifecycle activities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Proactively partner with HR Business Partner and recruiter to assist with the recruitment process, including:
Post jobs internally, externally, and job boards
Initiating background checks and vendor credentialing process for relevant field employees
Reference checking
Generate offer letters, new hire packets and personnel files
Serve as recruiting liaison for candidates and hiring managers as needed
Schedule interviews and/or coordinate travel with non-local candidates
Coordinate New Hire On-Boarding process: initiate new hire notification process, schedule new hire orientations, ensure timely completion of all relevant new hire paperwork including I-9s
Responsible for data entry in various HR systems including but not limited to ADP, Clear Company, LMS, Jira, and PIC.
Assist with the termination process for employees and contingent workers
Process and track wellness reimbursement program, service award program and commute program benefits
Administer employee referral program
Process employment verification requests
Additional HR projects assigned where appropriate
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or HR certification required
Minimum 2 years of part-time professional experience
Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in HR systems
Ability to handle highly sensitive, proprietary and confidential information appropriately
Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service
Must be detail oriented, resourceful, and flexible
Ability to multitask, prioritize and take initiative
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
