What You Get To Do
Lead ambassadors with a positive attitude to thrive in a team environment.
Responsible for proper staffing of dive team through effective scheduling.
Responsible for maintenance dive operation in the absence of the area Leader
Supervise safety guidelines in all maintenance diver areas and ensure all SEA policies are followed.
Responsible for ambassador development and communication through goal setting, timely follow up, and evaluations Also responsible teaching proper diver related procedures and techniques.
Ensures open communication between management and all members of the department, making them aware of all daily priorities and changes with responsibility for information exchange follow-up.
Encourage and demonstrate open and professional communication with all departments. .
Responsibly manage company assets and be responsible in spending for supplies and equipment to achieve financial goals.
Responsible for recognizing and rewarding good employee morale and motivation in an assigned area and throughout the department.
What It Takes To Succeed
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a SEA driver’s license.
Minimum of eighteen months diving experience in a Sea World Parks and Entertainment facility or comparable professional dive experience.
Ability to perform job duties/tasks and meet the minimum qualifications of the positions within the scope of supervision.
Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, reporting and correcting unsafe situations.
Utilize excellent verbal and written skills in the English language.
Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Must be willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
Must stay current on all OSHA dive regulations.
Must have a good understanding and ability to trouble shoot basic equipment used for cleaning habitats.
Current SEA qualified DPIC preferred.
Current FSO certified preferred.
Surface Supplied Air Diver preferred.
Possess basic computer/Windows and MS Office software knowledge
Possess basic math skills
