Job Summary

The Supply Chain intern will support the Strategy team in day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This role is designed to provide the candidate with a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain processes, from procurement to distribution.

  • THIS IS A PART TIME IN-PERSON INTERNSHIP. HOURS ARE FROM 9:00AM-4:30PM M-TH BUT CAN BE FLEXIBLE AS NEEDED**

Duties/Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Assist in collecting and analyzing supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and other key metrics.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal levels.
  • Support inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

Procurement Support

  • Assist in the procurement process, including supplier communication, purchase order creation, and tracking deliveries.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and assist in maintaining supplier relationships.

Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues that arise during transportation.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain and recommend solutions.
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain initiatives and technologies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments such as production, sales, and finance to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to project discussions.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Strategy team, including document preparation, filing, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for management.

Education And Experience

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
