Basic Function

This position will serve as the global head of the Primax banking division of Primax and will lead, build, and grow the Primax banking business and team. As the Primax Leader, this individual will create and implement strategic business plans to catapult Primax as the leader in the banking marketplace. The role will create and execute on effective strategies for Primax, including but not limited to: identifying and pursuing opportunities to generate new business, strategic acquisitions, strategic partnerships with resellers and referral partners, successful renewals, minimize attrition, evaluate market opportunities and competitive landscape, and drive the achievement of sales and revenue targets. This position will establish sales targets, forecast revenue growth and retention with the goal to improve client service and increase loyalty, endorsement and national market share of Primax. This individual will elevate the Primax brand presence and ensure its prominence in the marketplace serving as its ambassador by attending and speaking at banking events and conferences. An effective leader in this role will also be responsible for product and service strategy and offerings. The individual is responsible for establishing and fostering relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally while positioning the value proposition of Primax’s products and solutions to new and existing clients. The individual will develop best practices and methodologies to successfully maintain a high quality business process, P&L management, and professional image for Primax within the banking industry.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the global head of the Primax division with ultimate responsibility for the overall success and operations of the Primax business.
  • Direct and empower Primax team to achieve and surpass both individual and team goals, quotas, revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to mitigate attrition and drive sales and revenue growth, client satisfaction, and expansion of the banking business.
  • Grow the sales pipeline and increase deal closures.
  • Identify new business opportunities, acquisitions and partnerships by leveraging banking industry market insights and trends.
  • Oversee the development of sales and relationship management activities and campaigns, serving as an escalation point for resolution of day-to-day issues.
  • Engage and coordinate product development strategy and efforts leveraging Solution Design for product knowledge, depth, and strategy.
  • Effectively partner with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Solution Design, Product, Marketing, Service Delivery, and Finance, to ensure alignment and deliver annual business plan goals.
  • Elevate the Primax brand serving as a thought leader in the banking sector by presenting and attending banking events and conferences and creating engaging content, in partnership with Marketing, such as videos, blogs, and whitepapers to share insights, trends, and best practices with industry professionals and stakeholders.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision makers in the banking sector.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the client experience, streamline operations, and optimize profitability.
  • Develop and manage Primax’s operating budget to ensure allocation of financial resources to effectively carry out responsibilities.
  • Partner with Solution Design to monitor, analyze and track key metrics to drive sales and revenue, mitigate attrition, identify trends and highlight client needs.
  • Provide guidance and leadership for Primax and communicate and champion goals and initiatives within Primax.
  • Assess client and industry landscape and develop new and creative approaches to growing and retaining our business.
  • Deliver consultative support and coach team on how to identify, dimension, and solve for multifaceted business issues across Finanical Institution’s enterprise business as related to Primax products/services, bringing the best of Primax and knowledge of current trends. Anticipates changes and leads the team to build solutions that address the clients’ emerging needs.
  • Monitor the value of Primax solutions and relationships with banking executives.
  • Champion change leadership within Primax and lead the change management process to ensure organizational structure and process optimization.
  • Makes good hiring decisions and retains exceptional talent aligned to emerging business needs, ensures diverse and effective succession plans for all roles; encourages mobility and helps team members find stretch opportunities to expand their experience and skills.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Identifies business risks, implements effective controls, minimizes risks and successfully evaluates controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff
  • Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement
  • Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience

  • Fifteen (15) years sales/marketing/ecommerce experience in banking industry with a focus on card processing or payments and external sales/relationship management required.
  • Ten (10) years in banking industry required. Seven (7) years supervisory experience required.

  • Demonstrated ability to visualize the big picture and direct efficient deployment of resources

Pay Equity

Velera Is Committed To Pay Equity And a Competitive Benefits Package. The Hiring Amount For This Position Based On Relevant Experience And Internal Equity; The Pay Range Is:

$197,000.00

to

$266,000.00

  • Note: The amount shown is based on full time annual salary and would be prorated based on role.

In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
