Big-D has an opportunity for a System Administrator to join our team of professionals based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Office 365 administrator to join our tech team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Office 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance, compliance/security, and user satisfaction. The role involves user management, email administration, security compliance, SharePoint design, Team implementation, and support for various Office 365 applications.
Experience/Training
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a technology related field
- Strong knowledge of office 365 applications and services.
- Good time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of highly collaborative team.
- Communication skills in a customer service environment including relaying technical details to non-technical customers.
- High level of ethics and confidentiality.
- Primarily available to support the Microsoft 365 environment
- User Administration – create, manage, and support user accounts and ensure permissions in accordance to security standards.
- SharePoint Online Administration – create, configure, and manage SharePoint sites and document libraries. Support collaboration and documents management initiatives. Support employee engagement and intranet initiatives.
- Microsoft Team Administration – implement/configure a evolving Team environment.
- Email Administration – Maintain mailboxes, groups, and shared mailboxes. Ensure email security settings and policies.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting – use tools like admin center and PowerShell to monitor system health. Perform routine system checks to identify potential issues.
- Vendor Coordination – work with external vendors and consultants to further support o365. Ensure seamless interoperability with Office 365.
- Available to support other System Administration efforts as needed.
- Troubleshooting technology systems while minimizing user impact, ensuring information fidelity with caution to security.
- Create and update documentation as assigned. Including training, SOPs, and general information.
- Assist the Support Technicians by providing end user support for software issues by phone, email, text and other methods of communication as needed.
- Support and maintain system standards.
- Occasional travel to remote offices and jobsites.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager or to meet business needs
