Tableau/Cognos/WebSphere Systems Engineer

Background information:

Client is seeking a Tableau/Cognos System Administrator to support the Tableau/Cognos environments for the Care Coordination Technical Infrastructure and Analytics 2.0 ongoing operational projects.

The candidate should have strong experience with Redhat Linux operating system, all aspects of Tableau/Cognos applications, as well as an understanding of DB2, Google Analytics and other data sources supported by Tableau and Cognos.

The project supports a Data Warehouse environment using RHEL-deployed Virtual Machine (VM) servers.

The Data Warehouse solution consists of IBM Power servers running AIX for Abinito ETL, V7200 storage, DB2 Warehouse and Linux servers to host WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos analytics.

The environment also contains LDAP based on IBM EIAM Security Solution, Control-M, Jenkins and MOTIO deployment support tools.

The Tableau Analytics runs off a Linux implementation and contains Abinitio QueryIT, GA4 as data sources.

Tasks:

Perform user security management in Tableau administration tools.

Perform Tableau deployments in all environments following Software

Build, configure and manage Tableau environments on Redhat Linux.

Plan, install and configure IBM WebSphere Servers and Cognos Analytics BI applications on Linux virtual servers.

Install and configure SSL Certificates in WebSphere

Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities

Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Perform user security management in WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos administration tools.

Perform WebSphere, Tableau and Cognos deployments in all environments following Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Perform problem analysis and resolution for OS and Middleware applications

Perform problem analysis and resolution for Report Studio, Cognos Framework, modeler and other Cognos tools.

Actively participate in CCTI infrastructure projects impacting Tableau and Cognos/WebSphere environments.

Provide technical support for the CCTI disaster recovery environment

On call 24/7 support for any issues, user report executions, application issues, failover incidents, and log reviews.

Secure web access and single sign on (SSO) for Tableau and Cognos Applications

Specific Required Skills

5-8 years of experience in the Install, administration and support of Tableau implementation in a Linux environment

5-8 years of experience in the administration and management of WebSphere and Cognos Analytics as outlined above under Tasks Experience in Administration of Linux Servers.

Experience in Security Hardening in WebSphere and Linux.

Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills

Bachelor’s Degree desireable; equivalent experience required

Looking for a Systems administrator, not an applications administrator, this is for the back-end administration.

5-8 years of experience in Tableau and Cognos administration.

WebSphere administration is a bonus.

Day-Day: 24/7 support for all Tableau and Cognos alerts. Monitor systems/applications alerts and respond to the alerts, taking care of tickets that the team receives.

Experience with Shell scripts for maintenance, memory usage, etc.

Linux-based environment.
