Summary Of Position

The Talent Recruiter I will follow established recruitment and staffing strategies and protocols in the effort to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for Fulgent Genetics and its subsidiary companies. This position will cover full life cycle recruiting.

The Talent Recruiter I is responsible for opening and closing requisitions, screening resumes, conducting preliminary screening interviews, and ensuring a speedy recruitment process for laboratory and administrative entry- and intermediate-level roles. Under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Manager and Senior Recruiters, the Talent Recruiter I will develop reliable partnerships with hiring managers and HR colleagues. The Talent Recruiter I will identify candidates for the parent company, Fulgent Genetics, as well as subsidiary companies CSI Laboratories, Inform Diagnostics, and any additional subsidiaries that may be acquired in the future.

Key Job Elements

  • Reviewing job intake requests and collaborating with hiring managers and recruitment leadership to develop and/or update job descriptions; posting positions in the ATS after receiving approval from executive leadership
  • Reviewing active candidate resumes, pre-screening qualified candidates; collaborating with hiring managers and recruitment assistants to schedule virtual and on-site interviews
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and HR colleagues across all Fulgent entities
  • Submit offer approval requests, draft offer letters, and collaborate with recruitment leadership on negotiations

Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum of a four-year college degree is required.
  • 0 – 3 years of experience recruiting in either an agency or internal recruiting environment; strong preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of one year of either recruitment or wet lab bench experience in a clinical diagnostics laboratory setting.
  • Highly collaborative and able to utilize a consultative approach with hiring managers.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Great attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
  • Positive outlook and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Additional Skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, accelerated-growth environment.
  • Strong diversity and equity experience.
  • Familiarity with PayCom ATS and/or ability to learn new ATS software.
  • Experience recruiting at university and conference career fairs.
  • Experience hosting virtual career fairs.

Environment

This role is on-site and based at Fulgent Genetics headquarters in El Monte, CA. Opportunities for occasional hybrid and/or remote work will be available after successful completion of six months of full-time employment. Employees must be in good standing to qualify for occasional hybrid and remote work.
