Tech Writer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tech Writer in McLean, VA. Summary: As a Technical Writer and Editor, you know that every program relies on well-written documentation to work. What if you could use your expertise and process improvement experience towards developing processes and tools? You have a clear understanding of technical writing and know how an end-to-end understanding can improve the mission. We need your skills to help understand and communicate system elements and ensure long-lasting integration and sustainment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in engineering technical writing
• Knowledge of multiple writing style guides and requirements using Microsoft (MS) Office product suite, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
• Ability to perform reviews and assure the quality of all written deliverables in support of a wide range of customer requirements
• Ability to ensure the production of clear documents that guide and educate the reader
• Ability to apply expertise of client delivery process, tradecraft, and intelligence standards
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
