Leading financial services firm dedicated to providing innovative solutions to our clients in the broker dealer industry. We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team and support broker dealer projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Position Overview: As a Business Analyst supporting broker dealer projects at [Company Name], you will play a critical role in driving the success of initiatives focused on improving processes, systems, and workflows within our broker dealer business unit. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate the implementation of solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, including traders, compliance officers, and operations teams, to elicit and document business requirements for broker dealer projects.
- Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Solution Design: Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and design solutions that address the needs of the broker dealer business unit.
- Project Management: Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling activities to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate the functionality and performance of broker dealer systems and applications.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks.
- Compliance and Regulatory Support: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to broker dealer operations, ensuring that projects adhere to relevant compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- 8 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial services industry, with a focus on broker dealer operations.
- Solid understanding of broker dealer business processes, regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC), and industry trends.
- Proven track record of successfully gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, and designing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to critically evaluate information and data to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, Series 7) are a plus.
