About The Role
WNDR is seeking a Technical Director! This position will lead technical direction across all WNDR Museum locations, leading and directing a technical team across all Museum Locations.
Essential Functions
Lead the technical direction of art and tech projects from concept to completion
Oversee the creation and maintenance of the technical pipeline
Work with tools and platforms such as Unity, Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, Arduino, Processing, and WebGL
Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
Allocate resources effectively, balancing technical and creative needs
Work closely with artists, designers, and engineers to understand their technical requirements and provide solutions
Mentor and guide regional AV techs, providing technical expertise and support
QUALIFICATIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Arts, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role within the art and tech industry
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar
Strong understanding of computer graphics, animation, and rendering techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
