EVgo’s owned and operated charging network is growing rapidly, and we’re working to triple our network size by 2025. We partner with multiple stakeholders including automakers; fleet and rideshare operators; retail hosts such as grocery stores, shopping centers, restaurants, gas stations, and more to make our vision of Electric for All a reality. The EV industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. Join us as we charge forward into an all-electric future. Software is an integral part in realizing this vision and we are hiring a software manager to play a leadership role shaping our future.

You will work with stakeholders to define requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams across the company. You are equally comfortable presenting your team's analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

As a Software Technical Program Manager, you will help shape the future of electric vehicle charging solutions by delivering software and user experience improvements in collaboration with various cross-functional teams and external vendors to build out and deliver large-scale software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software leads, product managers, hardware and software engineering teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to define and launch innovative features
  • Establish milestones and lead engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and complete tasks
  • Own the successful delivery of large, impactful, and highly cross-functional program initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects
  • Oversee and prioritize feature/system development work from concept to release
  • Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines, ensure technical teams are delivering to the customer requirements, and drive leadership alignment and communication of progress across various teams
  • Ensure any bug fixes are tracked and incorporated into the overall timeline
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience in software development for large-scale or enterprise software solutions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong prioritization skills when handling multiple tasks/projects
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a dynamic environment
