What have you been up to this summer? A highlight for me was participating in the Aerospace Summer Games with Skyryse! It was a fun-filled day with our company participating in sports like volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and much more. Not only did we bond as a team, but we also shared our passion and mission with others throughout the aerospace industry. Our mission at Skyryse is to make flying a general aviation aircraft safer and more accessible than any time in history. We believe it’s our moral imperative to reduce and ultimately eliminate, general aviation fatalities through the widespread adoption of FlightOS. Does this mission resonate with you? This past spring and summer I have been working as a systems engineer intern on the safety and systems engineering teams at Skyryse. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I was given to develop my skills as an engineer and a collaborator during my internship. I wanted to give special thanks to those who supported me, including Mangeet Singh, Hayley Kantor, David Sweeney, Sage Lawrence, and Brian Schilling. I also wanted to give a massive shoutout to Dayna Cano and Carolina Perez for their support throughout my entire experience! Some of my core responsibilities included: -Creating Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for aircraft components and systems -Writing, validating, and verifying requirements -Root cause analysis for aircraft problem reports -Safety data analysis I was given the chance to work across multiple disciplines and with a wide variety of cross functional teams, tackling difficult and faced-paced problems. The team at Skyryse is driven and passionate about the mission, and I am proud to have made my contribution to the future of general aviation safety. The work being done here is impressive and I truly believe will save lives. To top it all off, I was given the privilege of being featured on the company's website for my internship, as well as some of the data analysis I did. Applied Math-Computer Science Student @ Brown University | Systems Test Engineer Intern @ Skyryse

Last week, I wrapped up my summer internship at Skyryse, where I had the privilege of working as a System Test Intern in the Systems Integration Lab. This experience equipped me with hands-on skills in cross-functional collaboration, system testing, and problem-solving. My key responsibilities included: 📊 making telemetry data available in real-time for system tests 👩💻 developing an RTD software tool to record fault data from the flight control computers 🥼 writing/running my own system test case Through this experience, I gained invaluable lessons in learning to navigate unfamiliar challenges, working effectively with cross-functional teams, and overcoming obstacles to deliver high-quality results. A highlight of my internship was attending EAA Airventure Oshkosh with an amazing team of Skyrysers to debut SkyOS and the Skyryse One. While in Oshkosh, I had the unique opportunity to engage with the public, sharing Skyryse's vision, the capabilities of the Skyryse One, and the need for fly-by-wire technology in general aviation. Witnessing the aviation community's enthusiastic welcome of SkyOS and our mission to eliminate general aviation fatalities was truly inspiring. I'm deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from an exceptional team. A huge thank you to my manager Alan Lee, mentor Amanda "Manner" Jacob, software manager Minnie Yoo, and the many others I worked with this summer. Special thanks to recruiters Dayna Cano and Carolina Perez for your guidance and support through my internship, and for making this summer possible. I'm leaving with unforgettable memories, new skills, and a renewed passion for software-driven innovation in aviation. 🚁 💻
