The Role

United States (Remote) Virtually Connected

In this role, you will

Seequent is rapidly expanding, especially in data solutions, and we need people who can engage our customers and end-users at both a technical and commercial level. This role will have its primary focus on the technical demonstration, implementation, and support of Seequent’s key data solutions while retaining a commercial perspective throughout the customer lifecycle with a primary focus on OpenGround.

This role is all about getting ‘up close and personal’ (both remote and face-to-face where possible) with users throughout their lifecycle from customers at the pre-purchase stage through to experienced users needing help and/or project assistance. We want to ensure our customers feel important and are well supported. Being hands-on, task orientated, and customer focused, this role is responsible for providing well rounded technical and commercial sales support with great product knowledge, quick response times, analysis, problem solving, and solution finding.

To further contribute to the big picture, you will have the chance to diversify your skills by aiding our product and engineering teams as required. The quality of service you provide our user base combined with your ability to learn through product training will have a direct link to your contribution and development within the organization.

Our Expectations of you:

Sales (Proactive Support) / Revenue Generation

  • Understand our customers' needs and then demonstrate and recommend appropriate solutions and services to them Conduct demos and webinars and supply information about products prior to sale.
  • Play a key role in delivering our training and project assistance services amongst our user base.
  • Support customers as they trial a product, ensuring they understand how to use the product to effectively meet their challenges.

To be successful in this role:

  • Customers are provided with all information relevant to them during the sales process.
  • Seequent receives positive feedback on you from prospective and new customers.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the geotechnical engineering, mining or Civil infrastructure industry, especially data management, and a solid understanding of the geotechnical data value chain.

Marketing and Business Goals

  • Stay abreast of our customers changing needs and any movements our competitors make, ensuring any changes are reported to sales management and our product teams.
  • Understand Seequent’s marketing goals, product roadmaps, development timelines and business goals.
  • Actively monitor customer satisfaction levels and consistently work to improve outcomes and perceptions.
  • Assist, facilitate and support all product upgrades, new releases and new products.

What Success looks like:

  • High user uptake of product upgrades.
  • High customer satisfaction levels among customers you are responsible for keeping in contact with.

Product / Domain & Market Knowledge

  • Keep in contact with existing and potential customers to acquire and update knowledge of Seequent’s and our competitors’ goods and services, and relevant market conditions
  • Be a very capable and competent user of the products and possess an excellent understanding of the Ground Investigation industry.
  • Assist with the testing and technical assessment of emerging products and features. Have the confidence to challenge the product.
  • Learn from the customer about how, what, where and why they are using our product and then feed that information back to the appropriate teams within the business.

What Success looks like:

  • Sound relationship with development and product teams.
  • Support calls per license are minimized, with reduced time to resolution per call.
  • Examples of the use of our software are captured and communicated to provide support to others and enhance sales.

Technical Support + Expert Services

  • Work closely with customers to facilitate successful implementation of Seequent’s solutions including integrations with other software as appropriate, including providing Project Assistance services
  • Provide remote technical, system support and on occasion, project assistance.
  • Serving as the conduit between the user community (internal and external users) and the software development team through which requirements flow.

What Success looks like:

  • All customers have a good experience in each interaction with Seequent.
  • All potential commercial leads and opportunities are identified through effective questioning during technical support interactions with customers.
  • Seequent receives positive feedback on you from customers you support.
