Technical Specialist IV
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our client's team. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze and enhance ColdFusion applications in line with ColdFusion 2023 updates. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in ColdFusion, with strong technical problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of application lifecycle management.
This is a remotte position.
Technical Specialist IV Responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate ColdFusion application code to identify features that will be retired, removed, deprecated, or unsupported in ColdFusion 2023.
Recommend and implement mitigation strategies for applications affected by ColdFusion 2023 changes.
Upgrade application code to support HTTPS and develop Azure Deploy Pipelines as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with ColdFusion applications migrated from version 2018 to 2023.
Provide recommendations for the migration of ColdFusion applications requiring remediation.
Estimate task completion times and communicate progress effectively.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work accordingly.
Interact with users to understand their needs and document requirements clearly.
Apply Information System Development Lifecycle (ISDL) methodologies to ensure comprehensive system development.
Architect and document logical structures for software systems and databases.
Utilize expertise in ColdFusion solutions, code analysis, and version migrations to ensure robust application performance.
Develop, test, and deploy ColdFusion applications with advanced skill.
Technical Specialist IV Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 9 years of experience in a similar technical role.
Strong familiarity with standard networking concepts, practices, and technologies.
Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving and solution design.
Proven experience with ColdFusion solutions, code analysis, and version migrations.
Advanced skills in developing, testing, and deploying ColdFusion applications.
Proficiency in communicating technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks effectively.
Experience With Requirements Management And Source Code Analysis.
Knowledge of Information System Development Lifecycle methodology.
Compensation: $50-$60/hr. (DOE)
