Technology Trainer for Older Adults (MUST BE Bilingual English/Spanish) – REMOTE
Are you passionate about helping older adults harness the power of technology? Join our client’s team as a Technology Trainer in English and Spanish, and empower older adults to thrive in the digital world via online Zoom classes. This 6-month, part-time (20 hours/week), virtual position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by teaching technology skills that enhance the lives of seniors.
You must be fluent in English and Spanish.
This is a fully remote position, but you must be able to work EST hours.
What You’ll Do
Teach Technology Courses: Deliver engaging and informative virtual technology courses using our curriculum and approach.
Create a Supportive Environment: Foster a comfortable and supportive learning atmosphere for older adults, encouraging curiosity and confidence.
Promote Our Culture: Represent and promote the values and opportunities of our organization to class participants, acting as a brand ambassador.
Communicate Effectively: Maintain regular communication with staff, providing feedback on curriculum and on-site issues.
Collect Feedback: Gather surveys and evaluations to help improve our programs.
Participate in Meetings: Attend trainer meetings and other training events to stay updated and share best practices.
Recruit Participants: Help recruit new participants and engage with the community.
Special Projects: Contribute to special projects, such as outreach and curriculum development.
Supervise Volunteers: Guide and supervise volunteers who assist in classes.
What You’ll Bring
Excellent Communication: Strong speaking and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly in both English and Spanish.
Teaching Experience: At least one year of previous experience teaching teenagers, adults, and/or seniors is preferable.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other standard technologies and devices.
Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a training team.
Time Management: Superior time-management skills to handle varying schedules and tasks.
Flexibility and Patience: Adaptable with a high degree of patience, creativity, and a sense of humor.
Professional Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional work setting.
