Summary:

Our Training and Development Team is a charismatic group dedicated to creating programs that assist management in coaching and mentoring our talented team members and providing them with opportunities to learn, overcome weaknesses, and strengthen their skills. We consistently strive to ensure that programs are designed to help improve processes and performance of both our team members and the organization.

As the ERP Training & Development Manager, you will collaborate with the VP of Talent & Culture, along with members of the Training and Development Team to ensure that Pacific Seafood team members achieve their highest potential and develop a passion for their work. The ERP Training & Development Manager is a critical role responsible for coordinating with team members within multiple departments, to develop, test, train, implement, and maintain ongoing training for our SAP S/4HANA system. The main emphasis is on facilitating an effective training rollout for a new ERP platform to support our Corporate, Distribution, Processing, and Aquaculture divisions. This position works closely with the overall ERP Project Manager. You will work with the ERP project team to develop and curate content to equip our team members for a successful transition to our new SAP platform and sustainment of the program as we evolve our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP S/4HANA Technology Stack Training Content Development

  • Work with internal and external resources as well as subject matter experts to development training materials that can be easily understood by all team members and leads to the successful transfer of knowledge.
  • Ensure all content developed is SCORM compliant and can be deployed on our Learning Management System.
  • Ensure all content developed is available in the appropriate languages for our non-native English-speaking team members.
  • Develop content with a blended approach that includes instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VLT), web-based, self-paced, eLearning modules (WBT), simulations with a demo mode and a practice mode, as well as printed and digital quick reference guides (QRGs).
  • Update existing content to ensure it is up-to-date, accurate, and the appropriate modality.
  • Create exercise guides and data refresh strategy for team members to get hands-on experience in our SAP training client (sandbox environment).


Training Deployment Strategy for Implementation and Ongoing Sustainment

  • Work with ERP Project Management Team on training delivery strategy to support site-specific implementation leading up to Go Live as well as post-Go Live support.
  • Develop long-term sustainment strategy for new team members to learn their areas of responsibility (roles) in SAP as part of their overall onboarding plan.
  • Lead ERP ‘Train-the-Trainer’ sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for Super Users and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Work with LMS administrator to ensure the appropriate training is assigned to the corrects team members (Role-based training).
  • Plan, develop and maintain training curriculum for end-user functional use and system enhancements.
  • Work with ERP Project Management Team and site to prepare for and schedule training.
  • Implement process to ensure all training content stays current and accurate.
  • Conduct post-training analysis to assess training effectiveness.


Training Delivery and Facilitation

  • Work with the training and development team and subject matter experts to facilitate and deliver instructor-led training on site.
  • Manage requirements for training environment set up, in partnership with the technical team.
  • Serve as a leader in change management and coach leadership and team members at our locations on how to navigate change.
  • Ensure all leave-behind materials (Quick Reference Guides, etc.) are accessible to all team members post-Go Live.
  • Work with Power Users at locations to instill confidence and competence to equip them to be additional on the ground resources for their locations.


Reporting and Governance:

  • Work with the ERP Steering Committee (Steerco) and leadership to understand and prioritize project and ERP system-based training goals.
  • Report training status to divisional leadership, the ERP Project Manager and other divisional ERP Project Managers and Steerco.
  • Keep accurate records of training attendance, grades, and evaluations in our learning management and provide reports to leadership.
  • Identify and address training resource gaps.
  • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and always promote teamwork.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required:

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Business Administration, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with ERP/SAP training development and delivery.
  • Minimum 2 years working with Enable Now platform.
  • Minimum 5 years performance and learning development experience.
  • Minimum years working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Minimum 2 years creative experience as an instructional and content designer, technical writer, visual graphics design ability with knowledge of adult learning theories and resources.
  • Experience with ERP implementations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be available to drive to off-campus facilities on occasions.


Preferred:

  • SAP S/4 Hana Experience.
  • Prior training experience in Production, Processing, and/or Manufacturing environment.
  • Project management and/or leadership experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with SABA, Cornerstone, and UltiPro.
  • Experience in Quality and Compliance, SOP creation, and other Q&C processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of distribution, processing, shellfish, aquaculture, ecological and sustainable practices within the fishing industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the operations of Pacific Seafood companies and internal/external customers supported is an additional plus. Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential.


Physical requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member:

  • Must be available to work Monday–Friday during regular working hours, with occasional weekend duties.
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling
  • Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations for different team members, departments, and events.
  • Capable of travel as required by duties, demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in diverse locations.
  • Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, including a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions.
  • Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.

Salary Range: $85-125k annually
