Position Summary
As an Underwriting Specialist you will work directly within the Truckstop Factoring Division to review background, finances, motor carrier qualifications and determine the risk of incoming applicants. Factoring is accounts receivable financing in which a business sells its invoices or accounts receivables to a third-party financial company known as a “Factor.” The factor then collects payment on those invoices from that business’s customers or debtors.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$20—$22 USD

Essential Job Functions
- Evaluate potential application background information including financials, court records, and credit resources to analyze risk.
- Setup new clients within operations systems and communicate with sales and support teams throughout the review process.
- Review UCCs, court records and other legal documents.
- Maintain active and inactive client monitoring.
- Review and analyze reports, business documents, legal documents and tax documents of potential clients.
- Maintain communication follow-ups with the clients, and internal departments to remain in compliance with regulations and business requirements.
- Work as a team to maintain project goals.
- Create and modify closing legal documents to finalize account setup.
- Communicate with other factoring companies to process and complete account buyouts.
- Available to from 8:30am to 5pm Mountain Time (MT)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and use of office equipment
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain records and multitask within various responsibilities
- Ability to work with other departments and organizational groups to meet a common goal
- Preferred: Experience with transportation, factoring, financing, or banking
- Preferred: Experience with UCC (Uniform Commercial Code)
