Contract Position

We are seeking a talented UX Designer to join our dynamic team at Cover Whale on a contract basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the user experience for both internal and external platforms, including our trucking platform and Admin portal. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure intuitive, user-centered design solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the UX Lead to refine UX design strategies for digital products.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and journey maps to communicate design ideas.
• Maintain and establish design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
• Collaborate with internal/external engineering teams and product managers to deliver compelling user experiences.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization.
• Continuously monitor and improve the user experience based on feedback and analytics.
• Support cross-functional initiatives, including process mapping and content writing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a UX Designer, preferably in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry.
• Proficiency in Figma and a strong portfolio of UX projects.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies and their impact on design.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of data analytics in UX design.
