Vice President Marketing

North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking a VP Marketing to plan and direct all aspects of our marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives for North America. NARS is North America’s largest provider of outsourced rail maintenance and construction services through its 4 subsidiaries – American Track (US), Universal Rail Systems (Canada), Tri-Innovations (Engineering), and NARP (Materials Supply). This senior-level leader will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the company's marketing strategy in the US and Canada. The VP of Marketing will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of marketing efforts, optimizing campaign performance, and maintaining a strong brand presence. Successful candidates have a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns, leadership experience and initiatives in a multi-brand environment.


  • Oversees critical marketing functions, including brand management, external and internal media platforms, market research, and client communications.
  • Developing and executing strategies to improve brand awareness, align with business objectives, and stand out in a competitive landscape
  • Analyzing the market for existing products and services, studying trends, and conducting competitive analysis to identify target markets, customer needs, and growth opportunities
  • Supports the Sales Team with client acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Creates collateral material across multiple organizations to build brand identities and consistency.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, print, and events.
  • Monitors and analyzes campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve results.
  • Builds relationships with stakeholders and the media to implement public relations strategies, including community outreach and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Establishes, leads, mentors, and manages the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversees hiring, training, and professional development of marketing staff and serves as a consultant interview of other sales team members.
  • Manages the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and tracks expenditures and ROI to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Monitors and analyzes marketing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
  • Participation and management of industry events.

Prepares and presents regular reports on marketing performance to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Remains updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to be an innovative leader of marketing techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Travels as required across the US and Canada.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, required
  • MBA or advanced degree, preferred.


Work Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in progressively senior industrial marketing roles
  • 5+ years in a senior marketing leadership position
  • Previous construction industry or railroad experience, a plus
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
