We are looking for brave, passionate, reliable people to join our company as Vice President of Employee Benefits. You will be performing:


Objective: Provide strategic leadership in developing and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that support the organization's overall goals. Through engagement in high-level strategic planning of compensation and benefits programs designed to attract and retain employees. Ensures compensation and benefits programs remain within budgetary constraints and align with organizational goals. Monitors trends, provides recommendations, and suggests initiatives. Consults with legal and financial professionals to ensure compliant and financially sound programs. Evaluates vendors, negotiates and completes contracts.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


These responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Strategic Planning and Program Development Develop and Implement Strategies:

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of forward-thinking compensation and benefits strategies that align with the company's objectives and market trends.
  • Align with Organizational Goals: Ensure that compensation and benefits programs support the overall strategic goals of the organization and contribute to employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Budget Management Monitor and Control Budgets: Oversee the budget for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring all initiatives are financially sound and within allocated resources.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct regular financial analysis to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of current programs and make necessary adjustments
  • . Compliance and Legal Consultation Ensure Compliance.
  • Consult with legal and financial professionals to ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.


Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with compensation and benefits programs through regular audits and compliance checks.
  • Vendor management: evaluate and select vendors assess and select vendors for benefits administration, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Trend Monitoring and Recommendations.
  • Market Analysis: Regularly review and analyze market trends to keep compensation and benefits programs competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Provide Recommendations: Offer strategic recommendations and suggest new initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Communication and Employee Engagement Inform and Educate Employees:
  • Develop and distribute comprehensive communication materials to inform employees about available benefits and compensation programs.
  • Employee Feedback: Gather and analyze employee feedback to continuously improve compensation and benefits offerings.

Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Must Have Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Software skills: Paylocity a plus


Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
