Join a rapidly growing full-service brokerage with a strong presence in the logistics industry. The company boasts 24/7 customer service, a family-oriented culture, and a professional yet relaxed atmosphere. They are on the lookout for a Vice President of Sales to spearhead their sales growth strategy and take the lead in managing the sales team. This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement strategies to boost sales performance.

Team Leadership: Build and oversee a team of sales, account management, and customer success professionals.

Market Research: Identify new markets and provide insightful data for sales planning.

Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage important customer relationships.

Deal Closing: Lead the charge in closing strategic business deals.

Performance Metrics: Establish sales goals, KPIs, and sales incentive plans.

Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team and future leaders.

Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze market insights, competitor activities, and potential deals.

Sales Infrastructure: Develop and implement sales processes and structures.

Sales Forecasting: Plan sales forecasts, objectives, and revenue targets.

Performance Monitoring: Track sales pipeline and monitor team performance.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team on lead generation strategies, sales analysis, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience with team management responsibility.
  • Experience managing a team generating at least $50 million in sales.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL industries.
  • Preferably, experience in fresh produce logistics and P&L management.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technology.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective team leadership.
  • Motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven professional.
