The Vice President of People Relations is a pivotal role within our organization and is primarily responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the Employee Relations and People Relations functions across the organization. This position reports to the CHRO and is a member of the HR leadership team as well as the crisis management team. Additionally, the Vice President of People Relations plays a crucial role in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace by creating an environment that is productive, meaningful, inclusive, and enjoyable for all employees. Strategic objectives such as leader development, performance management, legal compliance and employee communication also fall under their purview.
Position is not a remote role and is based at our Corporate office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level HR staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Ensures all performance management and termination of employees complies with all applicable law and are in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure people leaders are provided timely and constructive guidance in relation to performance management policies and practices.
- Ensure a high level of execution of talent planning process.
- Identifies key performance indicators for the People Relations Department.
- Responsible for managing human resources efforts as member of threat and crisis management teams.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the employee relations team and people partners; assists with resolution of employee relations questions, concerns, and issues.
- Ensures compliance with employment, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, and human resources.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters or law degree highly preferred.
- At least ten years of human resource management and employee relations experience.
- At least 2-4 years of VP level experience in an HR function, leading teams of 20+ HR professionals.
- Experience at a VP level managing organizations with high employee count and multiple locations throughout the US.
