The Web & Video Designer is responsible for overseeing the production of original videos based on business and marketing strategy for on-time and on-budget delivery to meet company and client expectations. It's also responsible for the design, layout, and coding of client websites.
Essential functions:
Concept and develop marketing collateral, inclusive of WordPress websites and landing pages, emails, e-newsletters, logos, brand identities, infographics, sell sheets, eBooks, interactive PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, print ads, postcards and other collateral as needed.
Consult with the project team and determine visual design preferences and expectations.
Design original graphics with unique colors, shapes, and typography fonts
Refine the output of paint and hand-draw applications by using visual design software.
Enhance digital images, including the application of contrasts and gradients.
Submit visual design concepts for brainstorming and approval in a timely manner.
Meet with the project team for feedback and editing designs, when required.
Collaborate with IT developers in aligning visual designs with website functionalities.
Keep track of advancements in visual design technologies and applications, as well as industry trends.
Design, build, or maintain Web sites and landing pages, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
Back up files from Web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems.
Select programming languages, design tools, or applications.
Design complex graphics and animation, using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment.
Work with senior and mid-level management and account representatives and collaborate on/develop scripts and treatments for interviews, create long-form, short-form, marketing, explainer, whiteboard and other types of videos ·
Develop briefings, brochures, multimedia presentations, web pages, promotional products, technical illustrations, and computer artwork for use in products, technical manuals, literature, newsletters, and slide shows.
Create captivating motion graphics videos and incorporate motion graphic treatments into live-action videos (opening and closing frames, lower thirds, transitions, etc.)
Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Film Production, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years experience in the design industry and/or creating and developing multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal brand videos, product marketing videos, or other enterprise-wide projects.
2 years experience using WordPress.
Strong understanding of Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
An online portfolio is a must
