Senior Visual Designer (Hybrid)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey—onsite 3 days per week

Job Type: W2 hourly contract

Compensation Range: $50-65/hr

We are seeking an experienced Senior Visual Designer to join our client's Employee Experience team and craft exceptional visual experiences for internal communications, marketing, and brand partnerships.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality graphics, designing assets for animations, editing video, and creating visual elements for use across digital and print media for internal communication and marketing purposes. As a key member of the creative team, you'll collaborate to develop concepts that effectively communicate client messages. Your expertise in design, typography, color theory, and layout will be essential in producing engaging and visually stunning designs that adhere to brand guidelines and standards.

Ideal candidates have a broad skillset in digital design in addition to experience within in-house creative studios.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Develop assets, graphics, and layouts for both digital and print media.
• Ensure all design work aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual identity.
• Contribute to and create brand guidelines for new product or campaign launches.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to and lead video editing for testimonials and training videos.
• Create visual content for websites, marketing campaigns, and various other platforms.
• Support the team at large via creation of production templates for email and presentations.
• Stay current with industry trends, incorporating best practices into design projects.
• Implement and maintain an organized system for file naming and archiving to promote efficiency and collaboration.
• Ensure all designs meet accessibility and usability standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, UX, and UI design principles.
• Motion design, animation, or illustration skills are a plus.
• Experience with 3D or interaction software (Blender, Unity, Cinema4D) is an advantage.

Portfolio:

• Demonstration of implementing design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques for both print and web.
• Range of design projects and deliverables including print marketing collateral, digital design, and video/motion design.
• Samples displaying proficiency in brand development, brand implementation and/or internal communications.
