Lucina Analytics is seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Data Analytics to lead our data analytics team. The VP, Data Analytics will play a critical role in driving the company's data strategy, managing analytics projects, and delivering actionable insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and support of Lucina’s maternity analytics solution to ensure its effectiveness and scalability.
  • Own and improve the logic for pregnancy identification and risk stratification algorithms to improve accuracy and outcomes.
  • Develop Lucina’s products to drive value creation and market differentiation in the Unified market.
  • Lead the innovation of products, services, and processes, driving the creation and implementation of new solutions.
  • Lead continuous improvement/evolution of existing solutions and processes.
  • Lead solution efforts including design, launch, training and road mapping for new and established services.
  • Demonstrate a natural inclination for solving problems creatively and resourcefully.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the identification, development, and implementation of solutions that impact healthier maternity outcomes.
  • Foster culture of data as an asset across the organization.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of reports, databases, dashboards, and presentations for internal and client needs.
  • Grow, lead, and develop a team of data analysts and scientists-recruit, deploy, support, manage, and engage team.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, growth mindset and trust. Balance being an effective delegator and a ‘hands on’ management style.
  • Formulate and oversee the execution of data-driven strategies to enhance business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Build the roadmap of people, processes, and capabilities to support a fast growing environment.
  • Set, measure, deliver and report performance KPIs.
  • Oversee data governance including ensuring data is clean, accurate, current and reliable.
  • As a senior leader, partner to develop, and communicate the overall strategic direction of the company; develop operating plans to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain an understanding of each prospective and existing client’s business to deliver the proper service fit for their needs.
  • Willingness to take on greater responsibilities, along with a strong desire to contribute to goals in an autonomous environment.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in data and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience in roles developing strategy, executing, and leading data analytics
  • Track record of success in developing and deploying creative new insights, services, solutions that drove increased revenue/value
  • Strong financial acumen ( MBA a plus)
  • Experience analyzing healthcare claims, both professional and institutional; knowledge of the operational processes of healthcare payers and an understanding of their goals and objectives
  • Experience developing and presenting senior executive and client facing materials
  • Experience and/or comfort in fast moving, high growth, hands-on environments
  • Solid communication and organizational skills
  • Led and developed teams of multiple size
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and Databricks; experience in Azure DevOps or similar tools;
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology; experience with Azure cloud and Power Bi or other data visualization tools
