Piper Maddox is partnered with an leading energy consulting, who are seeking a talented Interconnection Manager to join their growing team.

About Us:

With over 25 years of experience providing expert technical advice to utilities & renewable energy companies, they specialize in both on-shore and off-shore renewables, including solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind energy.

About the Role:

As the VP Interconnection, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. They are looking for someone with 10 years of experience, a strong technical background, and a knack for business development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Excellence: Demonstrating proficiency in power flow studies and supporting the team in conducting these studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, Power Factory, ETAP or SKM.
• Business Development: Selling the company's expertise to clients by understanding their unique challenges and offering tailored solutions.
• Industry Insight: Leveraging your network and experience in the energy sector, ideally with a background in consulting or utility operations.
• Regional Focus: While they primarily operate within SPP, PJM, and MISO, they welcome candidates with experience in other ISOs.
• Estimating: Understand how you would manage costs and revenue for the consultancy.

Requirements:

• 10 years of relevant experience in energy consulting, utility operations, or related fields.
• Strong technical skills with experience in power flow studies.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
