US Oncology is a key contributor to the continued and future growth of our oncology business and our Bold Ambition 2030 at AstraZeneca. We are one of the fastest growing and are well positioned amongst the top ranking of oncology companies in the US. We are looking for a proven commercial leader to lead our Gynecology and Genitourinary (G2) franchise in the role of VP, Franchise Head.
The VP, US Franchise Head, G2 Oncology reports to the Senior Vice President, US Oncology. The role involves leading all aspects of commercial activities, including marketing strategy and execution, field team, and promotion for the given therapy area portfolio in the US. The role also provides leadership, intellectual impetus, and a sense of urgency to develop and execute the Franchise business plan to achieve required business performance and maximize overall US Oncology commercial potential. The role has full P&L responsibility for the relevant Franchise.
The VP, Franchise Head leads the relevant Franchise commercial team in ensuring that brand and commercial plans are aligned with global and long-term ambitions and achieve committed business performance. This includes developing the financial narrative to senior leaders on performance, revenue forecasts, and resource investment and deployment. The role also involves using strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and market orientation to assess various variables, including market trends and opportunities, competition, and physicians’ and patients’ insights, in identifying and developing breakthrough commercial, brand and go-to-market strategies for the relevant brands.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Seasoned pharmaceutical/biotechnology executive with 15 years of experience and proven leader with sophisticated general management, strategic marketing, and sales management skills with a solid track record of accomplishment
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Must have a solid scientific foundation
- Demonstrates strategic and tactical abilities in developing and successfully implementing a comprehensive commercial plan
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a keen sense of what it takes to get the job done; strong operating skills and a sense of urgency with strong collaboration and cross functional partnership
- 10 years of oncology experience, specifically in breast, gynecology and genitourinary cancer is strongly desired
- P&L Management experience
- Experience working in an Alliance partnership
