❓ Why hire a D365 F&O contractor? ❓ You've established that you need some more support with your D365 F&O system, and now you're weighing up your options: ❓ Hire a new employee? ❓ Hire a contractor? ❓ Use your Microsoft Partner? Here are the benefits of a contractor: ✅ Specialized expertise dedicated to your system, with a more flexible/short term commitment than a new employee ✅ Costs (sometimes significantly) less than Microsoft Partner support ✅ Bespoke skillsets available as and when needed – rather than looking for 5 skillsets in 1 person for a FTE, you can mix and match skillsets with contractors depending on project phase and requirements If you're interested in discussing how a D365 F&O contractor could help your team, drop me a message!

D365 end users are being misled when it comes to hiring permanent staff. The most common issue is thinking that such people only work for MS Partners. Not only is this 100% false. The majority of 'consultants' enjoy working on a diverse portfolio of projects so moving to the end user side is not typically top of the list. There is another way. But most wouldn't have the first clue of how to execute... A client of mine are a chemical manufacturer in the US running D365 F&SCM. 29 of their competitors in the same industry also run D365 F&SCM in the US. Those 29 companies employ 124 D365 F&SCM 'specialists' working internally. That's where i'm looking first. And I know with a great level of certainty that i'm likely going to find a true A player there. If that doesn't work i'm then broadening my search. There are 488 manufacturing companies with a similar company profile also running D365 F&SCM. Those 488 companies employ around 2,200 dedicated D365 F&SCM staff - bound to find a great fit there. And if all else fails there are around 1,300 end users in the US with established internal capability focused on D365 F&SCM. We are talking thousands of candidates. All without touching the MS Partner network. Also offering a far greater likelihood of: 1) A successful hire 2) That hire sticking around for the long term 3) That hire knowing your business and industry processes #microsoft #d365 #dynamics365

The D365 and broader IT contracting landscape has faced challenges in 2024, but the situation is more nuanced than initially thought. Here's what you need to know: 🌐 Market Overview: -D365 Contract roles: 1.86% of all contract jobs advertised (slight increase). - D365 in the cloud solutions market: 5.67% (growth from previous years). - Contract day rates: down 4.37% year-on-year. - Overall IT contractor job market: Significant decline, with D365 jobs down 34% since 2022. 📈 Key Trends: - Growing D365 Demand: D365 contract jobs have risen from 213th to 125th in rank since 2022. - Remote Work: "Work from Home" is the second most common location for D365 contracts. - Skills in Demand: Azure, CRM, Dynamics CRM, Finance, JavaScript, and Power Platform. - Regional Variations: London offers highest rates (£550/day), but opportunities exist nationwide. 📉 Challenges: - Increased competition: Up to 500-1000 applications per role. - Longer hiring processes: 140% increase in time from requirement to offer. - Reduced project visibility: Companies typically sharing only 3-6 month plans. 🚀 Opportunities - Growing sectors: Green tech, managed service providers, defence, and housing markets. - Potential market improvement forecasted from April-May 2024. While the market has been tough, D365 specialists are still in demand. Contractors should focus on diversifying their skill sets and staying adaptable to navigate these challenging conditions. Tackling YOUR D365FO project skills shortage. Giving you access to the best independent D365FO Consultants across Europe & UK
Understanding the current UK D365 contract Job climate It's no secret that this has not, by any means, been a stand out year for contracting Not just in D365, by the wider IT landscape too Some candidates, good, reputable candidates, have been out of work for periods of up to 6 months at a time Higher demand seems to be for Functional Consultants across Finance, SCM & HR Whereas, the Developer, testing and PM market has been hit hardest Below are some trends of the current D365 Contract job market: - D365 Contract roles account for 1.85% of all contract jobs advertised - D365 Contract roles account for 5.39% of the cloud solutions market - Contract day rates have fallen by almost 5% - The D365 Contract job market is almost 10% down from this time last year I mentioned in my first video, on Friday of last week my thoughts on why the contract market is so quiet And although that is one of the key factors, there are others that we should always be aware of 1) The permanent market is busy (Usually when one is busy, the other isn't) 2) Changes in technology adoption 3) Market saturation & competition 4) Economic uncertainty These all have a knock on effect on the contract market Comment below if you'd like to add anything?
