Building owners are offered a solution in the form of complex renovations, but according to experts from Colliers, this is hindered by the low vacancy rate on the Prague office market, which offers few alternative spaces. Nevertheless, it turns out that the reconstruction of old buildings can be less demanding than the construction of new ones. The largest wood-based urban building project in the world, Stockholm Wood City, was unveiled the past year. 🌳 The project is anticipated to start construction in 2025, with the first structures anticipated to be finished in 2027. 🏗️ At 250,000 square meters, the biggest wood-building project in the world is now under construction. Given that developed structures account for a sizable 40% of global CO2 emissions, the project serves as a sustainable model for the real estate industry. 🌍 In addition, Stockholm Wood City is expected to mark a revolution in environmentally friendly building practices and city design. 🏡 It seeks to create a lively and dynamic urban atmosphere by fusing houses, businesses, restaurants, and retail areas. 🍽️🛍️ There are several advantages that wooden constructions offer to the environment, human health, and general well-being. 🌱 Several studies have demonstrated the enhanced air quality, reduced stress and increased productivity, and carbon dioxide storage properties of timber constructions.
