Most of the promises at these events are just that promises. Work life balance is non existent unless you like 50 hour work weeks, opportunity is there because leaders burn out and quit after they realize the impossible asks of the company, if your passionate about food you get the pleasure of following the recipe to the T with no creativity or availability to be innovative as they claim. The company is so short staffed with help in this specific area that everyone gets burned out in less than a month. Not to mention the leadership in the company is terrible and expects the most work for the least pay and has some of the most unrealistic expectations I have ever seen.

Above and beyond is an understatement.
This past Monday, Boca Woods proudly hosted the Florida Atlantic University Job Fair, welcoming aspiring hospitality professionals. Our team, alongside representatives from neighboring Country Clubs, engaged with talented individuals throughout the event. Over lunch, provided by Chef Jeff Terentieff and his team, attendees enjoyed inspiring stories from our leaders - Nicole Thompson, aPHR, Michelle Benitez, Kimberly Weber, Michaela Berinato, and Jordan Findlay. The day ended with a dynamic "speed dating style" interview session with each Club. Big thanks to Adriane W., Nicole Thompson, aPHR, JB Ward, and FAU for organizing this impactful event. The job fair is 1 week away, sign up today! This is not your ordinary job fair! • We will provide and set up your table and chairs. • We will provide coffee, water & lunch. • Please bring a tablecloth, any table decorations/marketing materials, and applications. • Wi-fi will be available, but please bring your own electronics and extension cords. About the culture at Better Together job fairs: • Culture of Celebration - We will celebrate every person and every opportunity which they find at the job fair. Make a big deal out of interviews, job offers, and other meaningful interactions. We also want to celebrate them and the employers! • Opportunity Bell - One of the most obvious ways we celebrate. If you extend an on-the-spot job offer, please come up to the bell with your new employee to ring it together so we can all stop, clap, cheer, and celebrate with you. • Job Coaches - Volunteers will be working with and encouraging job seekers throughout the day. If you are looking for something specific or not having a lot of luck, flag down a coach so they can be on the lookout for exactly what you need. Their job is to make matches and get job seekers ready to meet you, so help them do their jobs better by interacting with them. • What is your one more step? - We love it when people receive information about open positions and how to apply - that’s fantastic. But, we would love to challenge you to take one more step than you have taken before at job fairs and try interviewing on the spot, conducting screening steps before they’ve left the building, inviting job seekers for appointments or interviews at specific set times at your facility, or even offering on the spot jobs. We will provide a private room for your on the spot interviews to be held. Message me today if you have any questions or would like additional information!
