While preparing the webinar for managers on how to build personal brand in IT team's, I realized something - it reminded me of Gloria's speech in Barbie! "You have to be a boss, but you can't be mean. You have to lead, but you can't squash other people's ideas. You have to be a career woman but also always be looking out for other people. ...nobody gives you a medal or says thank you! And it turns out in fact that not only are you doing everything wrong, but also everything is your fault." That's pretty similar, no? By the way, you still can register for the webinar: https://lnkd.in/dnhbnnWT https://lnkd.in/d6j36yty

What Wins are you celebrating this week? Often times as professionals and entrepreneurs we downplay our own accomplishments and simply move on to the next task on our TO DO list. I constantly have to remind myself to "Celebrate You", and I encourage you to do the same! After a long productive week, planning and networking I'm happy to share we are officially Certified as a Woman, Minority, Small, Local owned Business and Vendor with the City of Boston! Every step is a showcase of our passion and resilience, commitment to our Legacy and dedication to our clients. 🎯 Reasons Why People and Companies Don't Celebrate Their Wins: -Focus on Next Goals: Many individuals and companies are constantly focused on achieving the next milestone or goal. Once one target is reached, they immediately shift their attention to the next challenge without taking a moment to acknowledge their accomplishments. -Fear of Complacency: Some people and organizations worry that celebrating wins might lead to complacency or a decrease in motivation. They believe that too much celebration could make individuals or teams lose their drive to achieve more. -Time Constraints: In busy work environments or personal lives, celebrating wins may not be prioritized due to time constraints. People and companies often move from one task to another without pausing to reflect and celebrate their achievements. Reasons Why People Should Celebrate Their Wins: 💎 Boost Morale and Motivation: Celebrating wins, whether big or small, boosts morale and motivation within individuals and teams. It reinforces a sense of accomplishment and encourages continued effort towards future goals. 💎 Recognize Effort and Success: Celebration provides an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and contributions of individuals or teams. It reinforces a positive work culture and fosters a sense of value and recognition. 💎 Create Positive Momentum: Celebrating wins creates positive momentum and energy within an organization or personal journey. It inspires confidence, creativity, and a positive outlook, leading to increased productivity and success in future endeavors. By acknowledging achievements and taking time to celebrate wins, people and companies can cultivate a culture of appreciation, motivation, and continuous improvement, leading to greater success and fulfillment. Co-founder & CEO of Dextego's Autonomous GTM Coach I Sharing my Gen Z Founder Insights to Accelerate Your Journey
Clear requests are tasty. But hold that thought will get back to it. Yesterday, I was invited to one of the best events I have gone to in Soho, NYC to celebrate 25 years of team coaching with Corentus, Inc. Shoutout to Janice Caillet and her team for putting this event together! The place they hosted it at was super unique - a beautiful artist's apartment that even had a scene from "The Devil Wears Prada" filmed there. Talk about a stylish venue! It had all the makings of an amazing evening: ✅ Awesome space with art everywhere ✅ Inspiring, like-minded people ✅ Delicious food I met two women there who had backgrounds kind of similar to mine. We had all transitioned from fashion to people leadership roles before ending up in tech. But the real highlight was learning about Corentus's model for making clear requests. They call it the "TASTY" method: Targeted - Requests should focus on specific goals Actionable - Requests must be practical to actually do Specific - Requests need to be clear and precise Time-bound - Give requests a deadline Yes/No Inquiry - Frame requests to get a clear yes or no answer. It's a simple but powerful way to communicate better and get stuff done efficiently. Clear requests really are tasty! The whole night was a blast. Great people, awesome venue, valuable insights - it had it all. Definitely one of the coolest events I've been to in a while.

🌟 Celebrating Wins Together: The Heartbeat of Our Success 🌟 In the fast-paced world we navigate, taking a moment to pause and celebrate our wins—big or small—within our teams is not just a moment of joy, but a crucial pillar that supports our collective success. It's these moments of recognition and celebration that build the foundation for strong, enduring relationships within our team. 🎉 Why is celebrating so important, you ask? Because it fosters a sense of belonging and appreciation, it reinforces our purpose and drives, and most importantly, it nurtures a culture where each team member feels valued and understood. Building relationships within the workplace is more than just networking; it's about creating a family that supports each other through highs and lows. It's about understanding and appreciating the diverse talents and perspectives that each member brings to the table. These relationships are the scaffolding on which we can lean when challenges arise and the network we celebrate with when milestones are achieved. But beyond the celebrations and relationships, at the core of our endeavors, must be a love for what we do. It’s this passion that ignites innovation, fuels perseverance, and inspires excellence. Loving what you do transforms work from obligation to excitement, turning everyday tasks into opportunities for growth and achievement. And what does this love allow us to celebrate? Not just the success of our projects, but the journey we embark on together. The late nights, the brainstorming sessions, the unwavering dedication—it’s all part of a narrative that culminates in moments worth celebrating. So, let’s make a promise to not only chase success but to savor it together. Let's commit to building relationships that transcend the professional and delve into the personal, fostering an environment where love for our work and for each other is the norm, not the exception. Because at the end of the day, it’s these moments of joy, this sense of community, and the love for what we do that truly define our success. Here's to celebrating every win, nurturing every relationship, and loving every moment of our journey together. 🥂🚀📈 #Teamwork #Celebration #WorkplaceCulture #PassionForWork #ProfessionalGrowth #SuccessTogether

Meet Thomas Gagen. 👋🏻 Over the last few months, we've been recognising the iAM employees, with a different team member put in the spotlight every week. So it's only fair and right that we also recognise one of our co-founders, Tom Gagen! 🎉 Tom is our creative director, chief design officer, or a bit of a diva, as the rest of the team affectionally calls him. He's also the producer of the iAM brand and content library, assists with marketing duties and is the brains behind bespoke client assignments, as well as whipping the creative team into shape as required. 👮🏻♂️ Essentially, he does a bit of EVERYTHING. Having previously worked for big names like Cartoon Network, Hasbro and Dreamworks to name a few, Tom is an ideas man, and has surrounded himself with people who are not only super talented themselves but can share in Tom's skills, and vice-versa. This works very well, creatively, although occasionally we have to collectively reign in some of the more wacky ideas. We don't need our own blimp at iAM HQ, mate. The Tiki bar was a great idea though. 🍹 Outside work, you'll find Tom tinkering with something. Jeep, home improvements, whatever. Either that or he'll be spending time barbecuing, or out travelling around the country with his faithful hound, Summer, in tow. He simply doesn't want to stay still, and why should he? Enrich your LinkedIn network and add Tom today. 💙 #meettheteam #cofounder #behindthebrand #whoweare #teamwork #companyculture #employeeengagement #leadership #experienced #companyvalues
