I was a bit surprised this week when I went through the D/FW airport and passed a ToysRUs. Yeah, for real... "I’m a ToysRUs kid!.” If you're over 40, chances are you can still hum the jingle and recall the tagline by heart. Remember the excitement of Saturday morning cartoons? Not just for the shows, but for the commercials too, showcasing the latest toys we all dreamed of. Stepping into a ToysRUs was like entering a wonderland. There's something magical about physically browsing through a store, eyeing all the toys and wishing you could have them all. For us adults, maybe that excitement now translates to perusing the latest tech at Best Buy – but that's another story. This encounter reminded me of the power of great marketing and business storytelling.
