We are thrilled to support such a great project! 🧡
Come by one of our NENI restaurants, order a yummy soup and become part of this wonderful initiative, which strives to support women in Morocco on their way to a financial independent life.
"Peace in the kitchen!"
was the first reaction of Haya Molcho, NENI, when our joint idea was born to create a dish to benefit the ABURY Foundation, part of which will go to our project ABURY Hospitality Academy supported by 25hours Hotels.
Haya is a female empowerment role model. And she is from Israel. And she supports Arab women with the soup.
This project, which seems so effortless, shows that we are all connected. This lentil soup is a small symbol of community and solidarity. One World.
Since yesterday, the soup has been available in all NENI / 25hours Hotels - enjoy your meal!
A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible! Especially #hayamolcho, #petrahoffmann, 25hours Hotels, Emma Seemann, 25hours Hotel HafenCity, #25hoursAltesHafenamt, NENI, ABURY Foundation

To WISTA South Africa
As a social media influencer with a passion for the maritime industry in South Africa, I've been closely following the updates on WISTA's upcoming conference. While the event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for networking and learning, I've noticed some areas where engagement could be improved. Firstly, there seems to be low engagement on posts related to the conference, which may indicate a need for more interactive content. Additionally, I've observed that there is no direct link provided to the registration page, making it challenging for interested individuals to sign up easily.
Here's how I can assist:
1. **Engagement Strategies:** I can offer suggestions on how to create more engaging content, including interactive polls, questions, and discussions related to the conference topics. By sparking conversations and encouraging participation, we can increase excitement and interest among your audience.
2. **Clear Call-to-Action:** I can help implement clear calls-to-action in your posts, directing followers to the registration page. Whether it's adding "Register Now" buttons or swipe-up links in your posts, I'll ensure that it's easy for interested individuals to take action and secure their spot at the conference.
3. **Visual Enhancements:** Leveraging my expertise in creating visually appealing graphics and videos, I can assist in crafting eye-catching content that highlights the key benefits of attending the conference. Visuals play a crucial role in capturing attention and driving engagement on social media platforms.
4. **Sponsored Posts:** I can assist in creating sponsored posts to promote the conference to a wider audience. By partnering with relevant sponsors and leveraging their reach, we can increase visibility and attract more attendees to the event.
5. **Partner Engagement:** I can reach out to potential sponsors and partners, encouraging them to add the event to their websites and social media pages. Collaborating with sponsors to cross-promote the conference will further extend its reach and impact.
By collaborating together, we can optimize your social media strategy for the upcoming conference and ensure maximum attendance and engagement. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss further or explore how we can work together to make this conference a resounding success!
With due respect to below opinion, liberalization has serious consequences in East Africa countries such as Uganda and Tanzania where I personal visited and discussed with citizens while I were in Business Trips. For example, Commercial Bank of Tanzania, a public bank, collapsed within a few years of financial liberalization. And in Kampala, capital city of Uganda, the main street in wherein computers and accessories are traded, majority of the shop owners are Indian and other citizens. Many Ugandans are Salespersons with desperate spirits.
Hence, fearing liberalization without proper preparedness and policy is not ''old- age barbaric nervousness''. We have to use out Later Comer Advantage of Liberalization! Avoid weaknesses observed in other countries and capitalize in opportunities in other countries of the world.
As Ethiopians, we are cautious of sovereignty that reserved by blood and sweat!

Reciprocity is the natural way of business and life.
As any capable Ethiopian can set up a coffee shop in Kigali, Nairobi, or Dubai, we should resist our age-old, barbaric nervousness hitting our veins at the thought of a citizen of any other country opening a coffee shop or merchandise store in Addis.
Reciprocity is the most natural and sustainable way of business and life.

Honoring the resilience and wisdom of Indigenous communities on this International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples!
Today, we celebrate the vibrant tapestry of cultures, traditions, and knowledge that indigenous peoples contribute to our global mosaic. We must recognize their profound connections to the land and environment and stand in solidarity to protect their rights and promote inclusivity.
This year’s International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is a day of reflection within TIV. We are reminded of one of our most exciting projects financed by the Inter-American Development Bank. During our engagement, one of the hallmark activities involved TIV providing intimate support to an association of indigenous Surinamese female artisans in protecting their traditional knowledge of carapa oil production. Carapa oil (sometimes known as andiroba) is a sacred medicinal oil used in Latin America and the Caribbean. Accordingly, TIV provided technical advisory services on safeguarding the traditions of carapa oil with trademarks and geographical indications and assisted in developing a business plan to streamline and standardize its production. We further provided guidance on SPS certifications. The project led to a cascade of positive outcomes, including economically and socially empowering indigenous women and developing a novel profit stream for these artisans through their own marketplace on Amazon.
TIV embraces diversity, fosters inclusivity, and is a valuable player working with various international organizations toward a future that upholds indigenous knowledge and paves the way for a harmonious coexistence with our planet. Together, we can create a more just and equitable world where the wisdom of indigenous communities continues to flourish.

WORD BY Hellyprudence Noelle Lena
Embracing cultural diversity and inclusion is essential for fostering a vibrant, innovative, and harmonious society. It allows for a multitude of perspectives and ideas, driving creativity and problem-solving. Inclusive environments promote mutual respect and understanding, breaking down stereotypes and prejudices. This, in turn, creates opportunities for personal and professional growth, enhances social cohesion, and leads to more equitable outcomes. By valuing and integrating diverse backgrounds and experiences, we build stronger, more resilient communities that are better equipped to navigate a complex and interconnected world.

Dear tourism industry,
We need to stop using the word "empowerment" when it comes to indigenous people, women and members of BIPOC communities. Look at the definition of empowerment -
"authority or power given to someone to do something."
It makes you feel good to "empower"
BUT
WE DON'T ACT TO SERVE YOU OR YOUR PATRIARCHAL / WHITE SUPREMACIST AGENDA.
This is aligned with the toxic mentality of white saviorism.
We do not need you to give us power.
Instead, you need to create ACCESS so we can be the powerful individuals that we are to begin with.
Semantics matter.
✋️ Stop using "empowerment" and start talking about ACCESS instead. By doing so the onus and responsibility are placed on YOU (not on us) as the historically deemed oppressor to create changes personally and within a system that continues to benefit your group. By tackling access, you are being ANTI-OPPRESSION. You are acknowledging explicitly the dysfunctionality of the tourism industry as an oppressive system. You are not afraid to give up your power and control to CREATE ACCESS as a step towards equity.
As always, I'm happy to engage in real talk if you can handle hard truths outside your commodified, unchallenged, greenwashed, performative and dare I say too comfortable of a DEI bubble.
All the love ❤️ from the mountains of Pakistan where real people and genuine humanity reside.
