Last week we celebrated miners’ day. Then, we lost 1 mining engineer in an accident (again!) yesterday. Simply telling, we lost 3 mining engineers in less than a month, 2 in Siirt and 1 in Denizli, working in an underground mine among with 2 miners. All were killed by preventable accidents. Engineering is NOT maximizing profit at all costs, it’s optimizing LIFE at all comfort for people. Similarly, an engineer is NOT a shadow of false business, she/he is the body of science, technology and finance of her/his field. Just pay more to support your mine’s roof. Just pay more attention to your team’s health and safety.

The Westgold Strategic Alliance entered into in May will facilitate the rapid development of the Crown Prince Prospect and will leverage off Westgold’s experience and resources in the region. On the ground activities have been focussed on delineating new ounces to add to the Company’s resource inventory and other drilling to facilitate the technical work required to move Crown Prince into production. Environmental surveys and sterilisation drilling have been completed with site layout design well advanced. Geotechnical and hydrogeological drilling is ongoing. We've submitted the Semi-Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the Falchani Lithium Project to Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines🔋 🔎 Highlights: ✅ Provides a framework for approval of all major phases required to finalize the development of Falchani from mining reserve definition to completion of mine construction; ✅ A critical part of mine permitting in Peru and its approval should enable fast-tracking of full permits for building the mine, processing facilities and tailings disposal; ✅ Provides authority to drill up to 420 drill platforms across the Falchani Project, with no additional drill permits required; ✅ Enables drilling of several additional strategic holes, building on the drilling done earlier this year under the hydrogeological permit, which is part of the EIA process; and ✅ Completion of the Final EIA Study will follow conversion of Measured and Indicated Resources to Proven and Probable Reserves as part of the PFS and will enable the move to production at Falchani. I'm excited to share a new milestone in my mine planning journey. On 27th March 2024, I had the privilege of presenting the first Underground (UG) Mine work utilizing Continuous Miner technology for mass production at Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. This project not only marked my inaugural foray into Underground Mine planning but also the first project of its kind for Regional Institute-7, CMPDI. Taking on the challenge of executing this new work in a short span of time was both exhilarating and rewarding. The appreciation and acknowledgment received from the Directors and esteemed members, deeply humbles, and energizes me. Their recognition not only validates our collective efforts but also underscores the unwavering commitment invested in delivering the Underground project using continuous miners. I extend heartfelt gratitude to CMPDI HQ Underground Mine Division and the guiding luminary, Mr. Pramod Kumar Sir, GM (Mining), for the invaluable support and guidance. The mentorship was instrumental in navigating the complexities and ensuring the success of this endeavour. To provide a glimpse into our work, I am pleased to share a video showcasing our Underground Mining strategy deploying Continuous Miners.
