It seems an age away that I joined Kier Group to implement our new recruitment system and website but here we are, nearly 12 months since we launched! It’s been quite the journey but where we saw the biggest success was building an inclusive and accessible experience and process for candidates. Every decision that was and continues to be made, every process that was created, the first question I always asked and will always ask; “What about the candidate experience?” It feels appropriate during National Inclusion Week 2024 to talk about a few of the things we’ve put in place to ensure our candidates feel comfortable and are able to go through the recruitment process without facing any barriers: 👍 Candidate first careers website designed alongside eArcu – people are the priority and we’ve reduced potential barriers significantly increasing our completed application rate 💪 Scoured the globe for a market leading accessibility tool UserWay.org which we’ve integrated into our site, allowing users to customise the experience to their preferences including changing the language, removing animations or simply increasing the text size (and more!). It’s been used over 60,000 times in the past 12 months – massive impact! 📣 We offer every single candidate that applies to Kier the opportunity to provide feedback via a survey – no matter what stage of the progress they get to. We don’t know everything – candidate feedback is essential if we are to continue improving and we regularly meet as a team to discuss and look to make changes where possible We are always looking to innovate, always looking to improve and will continue to progress where there is opportunity but this is a great start. To find out more, please click the link in the comments where our TA Director, Paul Thornton talks some more about how we are continuing to move the dial when it comes to inclusivity in our recruitment processes at Kier. #inclusion #constructionrevolution #builtbybrilliantpeople #joinkier

Acentra Health Talent Acquisition Partner - Transforming Lives, One Career at a Time - Strategic HR Professional & Strong Advocate for Candidates - Feel free to explore the testimonials at the bottom of my profile
As a seasoned Talent Acquisition Professional and Corporate Recruiter, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a topic that resonates deeply with me. Throughout my career, I have passionately advocated for DE&I recognizing its transformative power in fostering and sustaining an equitable workplace. As a Korean American, I identify with the unique perspectives and experiences of being a minority. The principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging hold deep personal significance for me, as I am intimately familiar with the challenges faced by minorities in the United States. This understanding fuels my commitment to fostering environments where everyone feels valued and included. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Acentra Health, I am deeply committed to championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within my sourcing and recruitment efforts. This commitment is reflected in my effort to ensure that a wide spectrum of diverse and highly qualified candidates are represented during the interview process. I’m a firm believer that diversity breeds innovation and success across teams. Especially in today's ever-diversifying world, it is not enough to simply acknowledge different cultures; we must value and embrace them. By providing opportunities for minorities to have a seat at the table, we unlock a wealth of perspectives, knowledge and experiences that fuel innovation, collaboration, and success. For me, DEI transcends mere professional pursuit; it is a personal commitment that permeates every fiber of my being. I wholeheartedly believe that diversity is the key driver of innovation, and equitable workplace acting as the fertile soil that cultivates a nurturing environment, essential for allowing growth to thrive. Embracing and celebrating diversity is not a choice, but an essential cornerstone upon which we build a better future. Let's collaboratively pave the way towards a future where each person is afforded equal opportunities to excel, contribute meaningfully and shine. #acentrahealth #wearehiring #diversity #equity #inclusion #belonging #diversitybreedsinnovationandsuccess

At LS International, we're fortunate to have a leader who not only emphasizes but embodies the values of diversity and inclusion - Lauren Stiebing. As a female leader, she serves as a beacon of empowerment and representation, showing us every day the importance of embracing diverse perspectives and fostering inclusivity. In our recruiting efforts, I believe it's crucial that we mirror her commitment to diversity and inclusion. By advocating for inclusive language in job postings and actively seeking out diverse candidates, we're not just checking boxes—we're building stronger, more innovative teams that reflect the rich tapestry of our global community. Why is this so important? Because I've seen firsthand the transformative power of diverse teams. When we bring together individuals from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, we ignite a spark of creativity and innovation that propels us forward. But driving positive change in recruiting isn't just about ticking off diversity quotas—it's about creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work each day. It's about building a culture of inclusivity where every voice is heard and every contribution is celebrated. As we move forward, let's commit to advocating diversity and inclusion in our recruiting practices. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
