European farmers want to spend less time dealing with red tape, and more time focusing on what they do best: providing the safest, highest quality food in the world. The Commission has listened to their concerns, and in consultation with Member States, proposed short and mid-term actions to support farmers, notably to achieve administrative simplification. These proposals have been discussed today at the meeting of agriculture Ministers in Brussels. In March, we will also reach out to farmers via a survey, to better identify their main sources of concern, and understand the sources of administrative burden and complexity. Simplification of our agriculture policies is a constant priority. With these actions, we are delivering on the pledge we made to our farmers to accelerate this discussion, while maintaining the integrity and taxpayer value of the Common Agricultural Policy. "We will not engage Tom, Dick and Harry farmers. We will only engage Peter, James and John farmers' PS Agriculture', reiterated by MP for South Malaita in the Solomon Islands Parliament hearing into the Appropriation Bill. In others words, we have a lot of paper, proposal, and planning farmers compared to practical farmers. The above statement signifies the existing gap/s in the various policies forefronted by the Agriculture Ministries. Solomon Islands sits in a strategic international shipping route that suitable for bulk export of agriculture in the Pacific and Australia and New Zealand. It's now or never for Solomon Islands Agriculture sector to be effective in its agriculture expenditure.

Failure to operationalise the South Africa’s Agriculture and Agro-processing Master Plan, will be tragic for the agricultural sector and create a precedent of premature abandonment of yet another well-conceived plan that was never fully implemented. Further negative implications will emerge – a damaging loss of confidence in the government and questions regarding the state’s credibility, competence and capability to implement government mandates. The loss of trust will imply that any other plan in the future will not receive the seriousness and commitment it deserves. https://lnkd.in/gsHzWVfp

📢 Protecting the Future of Australian Agriculture 📢 The upcoming rally in Canberra on September 10th is about more than just a single issue—it's about standing up for the entire agricultural industry. Recent government policies, like the live sheep ban, are just the beginning. These decisions are setting a dangerous precedent where the voices of those who know the industry best are being ignored. This rally isn’t just about one sector; it’s about ensuring that all agricultural industries receive the support they deserve. As costs rise and pressures mount, we must show that our industry won’t be marginalized any longer. We need to protect the future of Australian agriculture and our regional economies, ensuring it remains a vital part of our economy and our communities. Join us in Canberra and make your voice heard. Together, we can make a difference. 💪 #AgUnite #ProtectAgriculture #IndustrySupport #keepthesheep
