Food for thought this International Women's Day... A 2015 study by the Westminster Business School revealed that 73% of women in recruitment had no female role model in the workplace and 41% felt that the ‘old boy ethos’ still existed. Since then mindsets are shifting in a positive direction but we still have a long way to go! At 3pX Group we have many role models and we are proud to share our third inspiring colleague of the day... This is Lauren Redding - SVP of 3pX Group's New York office: 💥 Recurring top global biller billing millions across her career! 💥 A previous ED&I Committee Chairperson and a key member of our 3pX EDI Action Group helping to foster an inclusive and diverse workplace culture at 3pX 💥 10 years of experience in the Recruitment Sector 💥 Director of our high performing New York Office! We are so lucky to have you Lauren! #inspiringleaders #iwd2024

💙At Mind in Bradford, our mission is to promote and uphold equity, diversity, inclusivity and anti-discriminatory behaviour within all aspects of our organisation and beyond. Our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion group is a group of individuals dedicated to driving our action plan forward. One of our EDI group members, Masira Hans, spoke to us about the significance of #RaceEqualityWeek. "Tackling race equality in the workplace is crucial for several reasons – not only to ensure people feel included and respected but it actually makes good business sense too! This is because a diverse workforce who feel valued and respected will be able to share a variety of perspectives, ideas and approaches, which enable innovation and creativity. This in turn helps organisations better meet the needs of communities leading to improved satisfaction – so we all flourish! Supporting race equality, to me, demonstrates a commitment to fairness, inclusion, and social justice. Working for an organisation that prioritises race equality allows me to contribute to social justice and address systemic inequalities which I too have been a victim of. Mind in Bradford have taken the commitment to be truly anti racist. We will pause, learn, evolve and firmly stand against race inequity. We have created a progression EDI policy and action plan which we are working hard to fulfill." Check out our EDI action plan here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eEXYNmZ7

Women are achieving unprecedented representation at work, but this Women’s History Month, we're asking the crucial question: is representation enough? Netta Jenkins CEO, Aerodei and DEI expert, joins us to talk about what’s next for women and work, especially for women of color. Equity in Action: DEI’s Next Chapter will be an engaging, candid conversation between Netta and Naaz Nichols, Chief Customer Experience Officer at Care, as they discuss how a "seat at the table" doesn’t necessarily equate to a voice in the conversation. We’ll discuss true inclusion in your workplace, the impact of DEI efforts (or lack thereof) on caregivers, and how we can work together to create a culture where all voices aren’t just heard but valued. Sign up now at the link to join live or receive the recording and resource list! https://lnkd.in/e53Za9CY

What do you need? This question, as simple as it is powerful, is not often asked of women of color. But the answer could be the difference between dreaming of a successful life and living one. AARP Foundation's Veronica Byrd, MS today joined Lauren W. Wilson, founder and CEO of ColorComm, Inc., for an insightful conversation to answer that question and address how women of color can take ownership of their careers.

💡 Ideation: Illuminations - Edward De Bono's Six Thinking Hats Technique 💡 Edward de Bono's Six Thinking Hats is a powerful tool for structured thinking and group discussions 🧠 In the context of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), the Blue hat and White hat can play crucial roles in initiating conversations and fostering a more inclusive environment. By incorporating the thinking of both hats into EDI discussions, you can create a structured and inclusive environment where participants feel encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations. The Blue ensures a well-guided and respectful dialogue, while the White provides a foundation of factual information to inform and shape the discussion. 🗨️ Have a watch of this week's Ideation: Illuminations video and let us know in the comments below if it's helped you discuss challenges around EDI that you're experiencing at the moment 👇 #IdeationIlluminations #WeAreCDN
