Meet Gaby Gryko, Account Manager II (Mid Market) at ZoomInfo ❤️ Gaby shares a bit about her sales career and experience working for ZoomInfo below ⬇️ 1. Who has been the most influential woman in your sales career? “The most influential women in my sales career are Sunny Bliss and Jessica Hipskind. These two women continue to amaze me by how approachable and kind they are. Not only are they successful and what “great” looks like, they exemplify how to lift up others and level up as a professional. I’ve looked up to them since I met them, and try to model myself after what they continue to show and teach me.” 2. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to women just starting their career in sales? “Invest in lifting up your teammates and others - a competitive atmosphere should bring you together, not tear you apart. Listen to the advice others have, but always have curiosity about what could be. Ask lots of questions! Finally, don’t be afraid to network with as many people as you can, as this will lead to perspective you might not have gained on your own. Reaching out and asking for advice shows you value their expertise, and want to learn from them!” 3. What do you love most about ZoomInfo’s sales culture? “My favorite part about our culture is how even when we are struggling to hit our goals, we still find a way to lift each other up. We make it a point to share things that are working to increase our success, but we also take the time to joke around and get to know one another. Because of that, we have became really close. This helps ground us and get through the hard times.” We’re going to be highlighting more incredible women from ZoomInfo's sales team, so keep an eye out! Meet Molly Fernandez, Enterprise Customer Success Manager at YCharts ❤️ Molly shares her career journey and experience working at YCharts below ⬇️ What inspired you to pursue your current career path, and how has your journey evolved since you started? “Prior to joining YCharts, I worked within a trust advisory team at Northern Trust. In that role, I was able to view the impact that technology has had on shaping the wealth management industry. Working at YCharts, I am able to directly empower advisors to leverage our technology to better manage their clients’ wealth. During my tenure at YCharts, I have been able to grow in my role and now have the opportunity to manage some of our largest enterprise clients, which has been extremely rewarding from a relationationship-building perspective.” Can you share a project or accomplishment that you are particularly proud of, and what impact it had on the team or company? “I am the first individual in my current role as Enterprise Customer Success Manager at YCharts, and, as such, have been involved in shaping the direction of customer success strategy within our enterprise team. Now that I have been working in this space for 18 months, it has been incredibly rewarding to begin to see the fruits of my and the team’s labor over the course of this year. We have been able to greatly expand our footprint within the industry, while continuing to retain current clients at a 95% renewal rate.” How do you balance your professional responsibilities with personal life, and what strategies do you use to maintain well-being? “I personally believe more in work-life blend, than work-life balance. I think that your work and your life need to be symbiotic, which allows for flexibility when needed. Sometimes, life blends into work time, such as when I may need to take my dog to a vet appointment during the day, but, on the flip side, work may sometimes spill into off-work hours, when a deadline needs to be met or an email needs to be answered. I find it important to set my own priorities around what should be handled right away, in both work and personal life, and what can wait until morning or until vacation is over. For me, it’s been instrumental to have colleagues that I can lean on as needed when personal life takes precedence.” PS: YCharts is hiring! Thank you for joining us for our Zillow X Women in Sales Happy Hour in New York, Ana! 🥂
Data Analytics Fellow @ COOP Careers | Universal Banker @ Citi | Committee Member @ ALPFA |Driven by Strategic Growth and Innovation
Last week, I had the opportunity to attend Zillow x Women in Sales event, where I got an inside look at Zillow’s amazing culture and connected with some incredible team members! Did you know that the founders of Zillow started out at Microsoft and, after years of work-related travel, went on to create Expedia Group. Later, they launched Zillow which has since grown into a fully remote company that prioritizes work experience over anything else. 🏡💻 One fun fact I learned: “Zillow” is actually a verb! Who knew? It was inspiring to meet Crystal Ugbesia, Taylor Carney, Kaila Lipford and Ericka D , and hear about your career journeys and passion for your work. I left the event feeling motivated and excited about the possibilities ahead. Another fantastic networking event to add to the books! Looking forward to staying connected with everyone I met. #Networking #WomenInSales #Zillow
