Once again, we had a stellar group of interns this year! 👏 We’re incredibly grateful for all the hard work and dedication they brought to the 410 Medical team. Each intern played a key role in driving various projects across our departments, making a lasting impact. Thank you for your time and contributions—we couldn't have done it without you. Onward and upward!

I should add that these are PAID internships. Not only does this make our internships accessible to those who can’t afford to work for free, there is a noticeable difference in the quality and consistency of their work over the span of the semester. It is a lot easier to give more to an organization when they are compensating you for your time. At the very least, I believe we need to be paying interns enough to cover the indirect expenses that come with a job (gas, meals, clothing, etc.).
As we navigate the ever-evolving job market, one thing remains clear: internships are a vital stepping stone for young professionals. At ALJ Egypt, we recognize the significance of nurturing young talent through structured internship programs. Our initiatives are not just about filling roles; they are designed to empower future leaders by providing them with hands-on experience, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of their chosen fields.

A sneak peak from the graduation ceremony of our interns 🎓 It has been a great journey for our team who trained these young talents and we cannot wait to meet the upcoming generation next summer!
Looking ahead, Downtown Raleigh’s vision for the future must be grounded in our partnerships and relationships we build with one another 🤝
Our new Economic Development Strategy outlines opportunities to grow partnerships and create fresh strategies to bridge missing or underused connections in the community.
How?
📌 Work with local partners to bring even more life science companies to downtown, further bolstering this industry and local innovation (ex. Linking NCSU’s Centennial Campus and downtown as complementary innovation centers)
📌 Develop a specialized ecosystem for Minority-and Women-Owned Businesses that provides more financial support, more space for testing/pop-ups, and more internship opportunities
📌 Broaden the overall business brand and appeal of Downtown Raleigh as a home to the highest concentration of creative and design-based firms in Wake County/the Triangle

We hosted a scavenger hunt through Grand Central for our summer interns, who worked together in this game of strategy and communication to solve clues in the passages, concourses, tracks and trains.
A few months ago, we spoke with Carla Kersey, Project Development Coordinator at Kentucky Educational Development Corporation, who supports HS students through project-based internships.
Here's a highlight from our conversation:

I ABSOLUTELY SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY.
I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY THE INFANT DEMOCRATIC-CAPITALISTIC MINDS OF TODAY BLAME THE USA GOVERNMENT. THAT SAID THEN IS ANY GOVERNMENT TO BE BLAMED FOR THE HOMELESS PROBLEMS PLAGUING THE WORLD.?... NO. GOD KNOWS ALL THE HEADACHES USA GOVERNMENT HAVE WITH THE FOREIGN AFFAIRS. THE NEW WORLD IS PRACTICALLY A SHOCK TO WITNESS. PEOPLE "ONLY WORKING" TOGETHER FOR A COMMON GOAL... "IN THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS." THUS DOESN'T THAT ALSO INCLUDE THE HOMELESS. THE HOMELESS ARE OUT THERE...
ARE YOU.?
HOMELESS A OPPORTUNITY MISUNDERSTOOD.....
The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled.

EXAMPLE, IF YOU NEED TO RAISE MONEY FOR ANY REASON OR MORE SO LETS SAY THE "HOMELESS" PROBLEM WHICH IS BELIEVED TO BE TIME & MONEY CONSUMING BUT IN ONE DIRECTION TOWARD THE HOMELESS.
HOWEVER CRYPTOCURRENCY CAN POSSIBLE ALLOWS AN EXPENDITURE OF CURRENCY TO BENEFIT ALL WHO USES THE CRYPTO & REGARDLESS OF HOW IT'S CONSUMED.
THEREFORE IF A CRYPTO "HOMELESS" CURRENCY EXISTED IT'S MORE HIGHLY LIKELY THAT THE HOMELESS PROBLEM CAN BE VANQUISHED BECAUSE CURRENCY-FINANCES IT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO BE TAPPED INTO FOR HOMELESS RESOLUTIONS.

So our partners at YouthForce NOLA are providing students with opportunities and real-world skills for real-world success.
“Without YouthForce NOLA, I probably wouldn’t be working in the health field. They gave me my first internship in the hospital, which opened more doors for me.” – Dr PJ. “I’m 21 and I’m living my dream.”

Robust legal and socio-economic frameworks, facilitated by an effective administrative structure with active civil society participation, are essential for improving female labour force participation rates and driving inclusive development. India is already making significant strides through initiatives like the National Health Mission and the Street Vendors Act of 2014. Providing quality healthcare and abundant self-employment opportunities are two of the most critical factors in this effort. It is encouraging to see interns from MAARPU TRUST working at the intersection of social and economic issues, bringing valuable insights from their grassroots-level engagement.
