Sales is a tough job. Most sales people we work with have to -respond to enquiries -hunt for new business -show up and add value - manage a pipeline - protect price even if competitors are doing silly things on price -retain customers when things have gone wrong or competitors are being aggressive - manage their time and their territory ( or account portfolio ) -forecast & report - product quotes and / or proposals -use their CRM system well - know and be able to articulate the value they bring - lead and manage sales conversations - spot opportunities and act on them And sales conversations now take place digitally, by telephone, face to face or in virtual meetings. Sales people need to be - organised and productive - follow process, follow up and stay focused - be adaptable enough to have quality conversations in person, by phone, virtually and on platforms like this - keep going when times are tough, and the hard work falters. Sales is a tough job. It's a tougher job if you don't get training and coaching that is relevant to your products and services and your market place, and that works in your world. Done right, it's one of the most rewarding careers. So here's to all the sales people who've turned up this week, dealt with the no's, the not nows, and focused on doing the right things to hit their targets. 👏👏👏 #sales #salesdevelopment #sdr #salesexcellence #salesdirector #salesmanager

Account Manager @ Accessotronik Inc. I Woman navigating Electronics Manufacturing I Here to make your problems my problems 🤝
🌟 Did You Know? 🌟 I joined the sales world a little over 5 years ago, and there's one thing that has always given me the ick—the term "sales rep." 🤢 Why, you ask? Because it often conjures up outdated stereotypes and misconceptions. But in reality, being in sales is about so much more than just "selling." It's about understanding client needs, providing solutions, building relationships, and becoming a trusted advisor. In my role, I strive to be a partner who adds value, not just a "rep" pushing products. It's about creating win-win scenarios and ensuring that my clients feel supported and heard. Every interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate expertise, reliability, and genuine care for the client's success. The journey in sales is filled with continuous learning and growth. From keeping up with industry trends to adapting to each client’s unique challenges, the goal is always to provide the best possible solutions. I am passionate about breaking the old mold and showing that sales professionals are truly dedicated to making a positive impact. Let’s redefine what it means to be in sales and celebrate the dedication, hard work, and expertise that goes into it every day. 💡 Picture below at my second sales job in 2020 😊 #Sales #SalesProfessional #CustomerSuccess #RelationshipBuilding #B2B #ValueAdded #TrustInBusiness #ClientFirst #SalesJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #SalesExcellence #SalesCommunity

When I moved to a new organization and took on a sales leadership role, I really struggled with new customer acquisition and generation of revenue from new business. But that was a terrible situation to be in. I was trying to balance my sales assistant manager role, prospecting and recruiting new customers, to build my existing customer database. Then there was the other bit of managing my transition into a new organization. In addition to attaining work life balance, as a husband and young father with a 3-year-old girl. And implementing changes in the organization strategy. It was daunting and utterly exhausting. So exhausting that I felt furious and almost had a burnout. Therefore, I struggled to achieve my individual new customer acquisition and revenue targets. My situation felt so inevitable and immutable. Then, I realized I could create a custom framework for strategic prospecting to secure sales appointments and create business opportunities from prospects. So, I did. Once I build this framework, my days became much easier as I engaged in strategic prospecting, got more requests for quotations from my existing customers and prospects. Therefore, I began to slowly get sales appointments, get requests for quotations, recruit new customers and generate revenue for my company. And my sales job became much easier to manage. So, I stopped running around, chasing every prospect and knocking on every door. I dedicated time to create my strategic prospect list, conduct prospect recon, research to know my prospects, and develop perfect profiles before reaching out to the prospects. Therefore, I dedicated my time to deciding who to add or remove from my strategic prospect target list. And spent each day, week and month analyzing the opportunities I: 1. Created. 2. Advanced. 3. Closed. Then I realized I could help others prospect better and win more deals. So, I created a B2B SALES TOOLKIT FOR STRATEGIC PROSPECTING to help you prospect better and change your sales game. Buy it here: https://lnkd.in/d9AvjMfH Your future B2B sales career will thank you!
