Happy 248th Independence Day to these United States of America! The Declaration of Independence was approved by twelve of the thirteen original American colonies (New York abstained) on July 2, 1776. It was written by 32-year-old Thomas Jefferson. On July 4, 1776, at end of the Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, representatives from the 13 colonies adopted the Jeffersonian Declaration — making July 4 the official day of America's independence. It was later signed on different dates by 56 men (ranging in age from 26 to 70) from the thirteen original colonies. The Kingdom of Morocco became the first country to recognise America's independence in 1777, and France, arguably America’s oldest ally because of its role in the American Revolution, followed suit in 1778. The American Revolution had started just over a year (April 1775) when the Declaration of Independence was signed. With determination, patriotism, and help from a few European and other allies, the new nation was able to defeat King George III and the mighty British military. Like many former colonies, the U.S. has dealt with many internal and external affairs — with some of those wranglings even bringing the “city on a hill” in the dark valley of despair. Though absolutely imperfect like every nation on earth, it’s a wonderment to its mother across the pond, and an example to its siblings and peers. The U.S. is a federal secular constitutional republic—it’s neither a Christian nation nor a democracy. Happy 248th Independence Day, America! #history #globalevents #ushistory #americanhistory #europe #britain #northamerica #independenceday #4thofjuly #usa #unitedstates

We wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July! Independence Day, known colloquially as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America. The Founding Father delegates of the Second Continental Congress declared that the Thirteen Colonies were no longer subject (and subordinate) to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. The Congress voted to approve independence by passing the Lee Resolution on July 2 and adopted the Declaration of Independence two days later, on July 4. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches, and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the national day of the United States. #iPS #iPSNautech #NautechServices #4thOfJuly #IndependenceDay #FourthofJuly #IndependenceDay #USA #July4th #AmericanHistory #Freedom #Fireworks #Barbecue #FamilyReunion #Celebration #Patriotism #RedWhiteandBlue #America #StarsandStripes #DeclarationofIndependence #FoundingFathers #RevolutionaryWar #Liberty #Unity #ProudAmerican #LandoftheFree #HomeoftheBrave #GodBlessAmerica #UnitedStates #CelebrateAmerica #HistoryInAction

Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the ending of slavery. The holiday's name is a portmanteau of the words "June" and "nineteenth", as it was on June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War. 🇺🇸 Reflecting on History: The Birth of American Independence 🇺🇸 As we celebrate Independence Day, it's crucial to remember the arduous journey that led to the birth of the United States of America. Prior to July 4, 1776, America was a collection of British colonies, subject to the rule of the British Empire. The quest for freedom was not easy; it required fierce determination and sacrifice. The American Revolution, ignited in 1775 and concluded with a peace treaty in 1783, was a watershed moment. Thirteen North American colonies rose in defiance against British control, seeking political independence and the right to self-governance. This struggle was born from years of mounting tensions fueled by British policies that increasingly restricted colonial autonomy. Today, as we enjoy the freedoms secured by our forefathers, let's honor their courage and resilience. The United States stands as a testament to the enduring values of liberty, democracy, and self-determination. May we continue to cherish and protect these principles, ensuring that the sacrifices of the past continue to inspire and guide us toward a brighter future. --Creating environments conducive to growth and development. Through agriculture, education, and activism.
White supremacism is stronger than ever in America. A black man with his hands up was pulled over and assaulted with a dog in front of his child and all over ‘a license plate tag light being too dim’. As college students, faculty, and anyone supporting the Palestinians as they are being ethnically cleansed by their brutal military occupier, America is getting closer and closer to ‘The Threshold of Violence’. Don’t know what that is? The military does. It’s the point at which peaceful protest is abandoned due to its futility in lieu of a more radical form of resistance. Power is not surrendered voluntarily. Rulers and dictators don’t open their domination up to ‘elections’ which is why the upcoming Selection season is particularly impotent and sterile. Freedom doesn’t come through the military forces of a global economic regime. ‘Thank you for your service’ is a nonsensical slogan employed to further lead you to invest in this charade. You are an indentured servant with no choice. No power. No freedom.

Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the U.S. as issued by President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. In 2021, it became our newest national holiday. The US National Archives offers perspective on why the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in January 1863, but it was not until two years later in June 1865 that the last Confederate community of enslaved Americans received word that they had been freed from bondage: “President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, as the nation approached its third year of bloody civil war. The proclamation declared ‘that all persons held as slaves’ within the rebellious states ‘are, and henceforward shall be free.’ “Despite this expansive wording, the Emancipation Proclamation was limited in many ways. It applied only to states that had seceded from the United States, leaving slavery untouched in the loyal border states. It also expressly exempted parts of the Confederacy (the Southern secessionist states) that had already come under Northern control. Most important, the freedom it promised depended upon Union (United States) military victory. “Although the Emancipation Proclamation did not end slavery in the nation, it captured the hearts and imagination of millions of Americans and fundamentally transformed the character of the war. After January 1, 1863, every advance of federal troops expanded the domain of freedom. Moreover, the Proclamation announced the acceptance of Black men into the Union Army and Navy, enabling the liberated to become liberators. By the end of the war, almost 200,000 Black soldiers and sailors had fought for the Union and freedom.” Read more here: https://buff.ly/2tjvnhb

#sustainability #NobelPrize The militant-wing of the mercantilist corporate global interests of the British East India Company of 1600, the military industrial complex (MIC) Eisenhower had cautioned about in his farewell, has finally ended United States of America. The “American century” which began with World War I has now come to an end and so has any aspiration to return to the democratic experiment of the Athenian city-state of Socrates and the Peloponnesian war, which was also ended by the oligarchs. Both political parties are just as bad as each other. My original decision to sit out of this election and see what happens by 2026 was a good one, even though as a registered independent I veered toward Trump/Vance briefly since, to at least cast my vote for one side to fulfil my citizenship duty. I am not voting. Remedying this requires civil disobedience, non-violent non-cooperation, as demonstrated by Gandhi in India, but improvised with the sophistication and finesse of an economic scalpel to walk the fine line Benjamin Franklin had walked, against oligarchy by the peoples of the world to achieve both democracy and economic equity, by reforming corporate governance to save humanity from itself.
