This feature, currently available as an update for some beta users, allows users to hide their locked chats folder by entering a 'secret code' in the search bar. Once the secret code is added, locked chats will not be visible on the chats list; users can access them by entering the secret code into the search bar. Additionally, some users might receive a feature allowing them to clear the list of locked chats within their privacy settings. This is intended for cases where users forget their secret code. Consumer rights are always on toss in India whether it's a violation of Do Not Disturb, the absence of an unsubscribe button in WhatsApp marketing messages, or data privacy! Recently I tried asking PhonePe to PERMANENTLY DELETE my merchant account, which I tried onboarding 2 years ago but never completed beyond adding the store name, of course no transaction there, even visible today when I try to sign up on their app using my mobile number. To my surprise, at first, their customer support did not know the difference between deactivation and deletion! On specifically asking “DELETE, NOT DEACTIVATE” - they said we would not be able to, even after I reminded them of their Google Play Store Policy and declaration according to which we can request personal data to be permanently deleted! This is the condition of the top UPI player, imagine the condition of smaller companies handling your sensitive data like date of birth, PAN number, Addhar card number, etc potential leading to financial frauds online! #phonepe #dataprivacy

(Always listen to your intuition!) The first clue: WhatsApp + Business = 🧐 Suspicious! 🎯 WhatsApp's popularity makes it a prime target for scammers, seeking to exploit its vast user base. While the app offers end-to-end encryption, this feature ironically attracts scammers, providing them a cloak of anonymity. “WhatsApp”, one of the major messaging apps, gives a controversial statement about leaving India. “Meta”, which is the parent company, owns WhatsApp along with other major platforms like Instagram and Facebook.  WhatsApp has informed that it will move out of India if it’s forced to remove chat encryption. It is not only India that approached WhatsApp to remove chat encryption but also other countries for the same. But WhatsApp has never removed its privacy features and secures users’ information End-to-end encryption locks up users' information and not even WhatsApp can unlock those private messages. But why did India want WhatsApp to keep a track on messages and other private chats? Organizations like the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) say that breaking chat encryption can help them to identify and take action against crime and other alarming activities.
