Highly recommend this podcast episode for any fellow employee benefits compliance nerds. There is increasing scrutiny on fiduciaries of group health plans (some of whom don't know that they are!). It's time to start paying attention.

After attending our National Voluntary Benefits Practice Summit this week, there are so many market updates that I am seriously excited about 🎉 Here are just a few: 💡 Enhanced Captive options: Utilizing a captive as a vehicle for voluntary benefits presents a tremendous opportunity to diversify your risk portfolio. There is so much untapped potential within the loss ratios of the VB lines of coverage. 🌟 Automation: Connecting the dots between medical coverage and voluntary eligibility, including auto-notification and/or auto-adjudication for a member's claims. It's a game-changer for efficiency and utilization. 🏨 Part-time/Gig-workers/Contractors: Don't underestimate the impact of a well-crafted benefits strategy for these populations. We can leverage technology and customizable products to create a shoppable benefits program, in turn drastically boosting your engagement with these key workforces. ❗ New benefit features: Addressing the gaps in coverage for mental health and infertility has long been a pain point in the market. Please ask me how we can incorporate these in your program. The future of VB is bright, 😎 and I'm excited to explore these trends further. Reach out to me to learn more about how we can leverage these opportunities to enhance your benefits program.

The few existing burn-out assessments were one-time surveys, contained dozens or even hundreds of questions, lacked anonymity, didn’t provide participant resources, lacked comprehensive reporting for administrators, or focused only on burnout (just one dimension of distress and well-being). To solve these problems, Mayo Clinic researchers invented and validated the Well-Being Index to: 1️⃣Anonymously measure well-being in less than 1-minute 2️⃣Predict risk of distress over 6 dimensions 3️⃣Provide immediate resources to participants 4️⃣Deliver comprehensive reporting to wellness leaders 5️⃣Track individual and organizational progress over time Mywellbeingindex.org

At ParetoHealth, “better” is part of our DNA – it’s who we are and what we do. We’re committed to building better benefits for small and midsized employers. We’re committed to being the better way for our Members to provide high quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare to their employees. We’re committed to offering the strongest stop-loss structure on the market, with a 30% rate cap on premium renewals and no new lasers as long as you’re a Member. What are you committed to? If you’re still enrolling your clients in fully-insured or traditional self-insured plans, you’re not committed to the right stuff. Instead, you’re providing clients with lackluster benefits, little flexibility or control, and no financial transparency. Where’s the “better” in that? Drop me a line to discover how you can build truly better benefits for your clients. #ParetoHealth #ProudlyContrarian #EmployeeBenefits
