Dear Colleagues, We deeply mourn the tragic loss of one of our promising bright medical students doing Pg 2 in Radio from MAMC . This heartbreaking event is a stark reminder of the immense pressures within our field. While we are waiting for evidence to his death I would like to remind the fraternity To prevent such tragedies, we must: 1. Implement Regular Counseling:. 2. Promote Mental Health Education: Teach stress management and the importance of seeking help. 3. Encourage Peer Support: Foster peer networks for shared experiences and mutual support. 4. Conduct Routine Wellness Check-Ins to assess emotional and psychological well being besides physical health 5 Create a system where they can have open communication. Let us come together to support our students, ensuring their well-being and success, both academically and personally. With Profound sympathies and my prayers for family and friends who would be deeply mourning the tragic loss Lear’s increase awareness and get these basic demands In our institutes . 1/3/4/5 points can be immediately implemented by oneor couple of us taking responsibility in each institute Together we can bring a change . Did you know that if you picked two people at random in the U.S., there’s an over 60% chance they’d be from different racial or ethnic group? Given that the majority of psychologists are white, it’s likely that clinical therapists will treat someone from a different race or ethnicity than how they identify. This makes understanding the role race plays in therapeutic relationships a critical aspect of the profession. Approved by the APA to sponsor continuing education for psychologists, RL’s Resilience Institute offers training for practicing therapists, by practicing therapists. Recently, we partnered with @Welltrack Connect to offer a CE course on Race and Therapy. Dr. Anica Camela Mulzac shared with ~200 attendees the impact of race on the therapeutic alliance between clients and therapists, how attempts to be “colorblind” can undermine treatment efficacy, and ways psychologists can combat racial microaggressions and implicit bias in their clinical practice. "From generations of practitioners and researchers before us, we have received knowledge about these substances, their risks, and ways to use them constructively. In turn, we accept the call to use that knowledge for the common good and to share freely whatever related knowledge we may discover or develop." - Open Science, Open Praxis statement Last week, Deborah Gardner and I published our open-source research: A Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Learning Framework: Comprehensive Behavioral Health Learning Objectives for Practitioners. 🌍 This publication is a foundational building block to ensuring high-quality therapist training is available and vetted. In alignment with our public-benefit model, we published the research under a Creative Commons license, meaning it is open-source and available for public use by educators, researchers, and policymakers. ✨We published it open-source to honor legacy of Open Science, Open Praxis, a commitment that Amanda Feilding supported (see here if you're not familiar with the pledge: https://lnkd.in/erpyG2SN) 📚 For a copy of the research, please fill out our interest form here: https://lnkd.in/eAg9bi6h "We hope that our research helps normalize psychedelic-assisted therapy, as the data reveals therapeutic skills similar to those employed in traditional therapy with an emphasis on teaching the skills necessary to hold space for non-ordinary consciousness." - Deborah Gardner (my amazing co-author!) 📝 Press coverage from Benzinga here: https://lnkd.in/e6BFqkCE 🙏🏽 Help me get the word out to stakeholders in your network by sharing our webpage: https://lnkd.in/eAg9bi6h
