I enjoyed bringing a ag perspective to today’s #MFF2024 robotics/human panel- where the discussion highlighted the evolving landscape of robotics, emphasizing the integration of AI and human intelligence. Key points included the use of teleoperation systems to enhance robot reliability, the adoption of robots in industries like agriculture and supply chain to address labor shortages, and the potential of humanoid robots for gap automation. The conversation also touched on the economic viability of robotics, the importance of connectivity, and the challenges of consumer robotics. Additionally, our panel explored the potential of AI in healthcare, such as rehabilitation robots and AI avatars for elderly care, and the broader societal implications of robotics and AI. Yesterday I felt that the world was upside down. Pascal Reder from Zeiss did a presentation to the customer facing team in Accutics. The team have to mostly work with large, complex business', and ourselves being in a 30 man startup, it can be quite hard to understand the world, our key champions have to work in. That's why it was so powerful to have Pascal talk us through his views and experiences, and share how a huge organisation like Zeiss looks like and functions. If you went to the Analytics user group meetup in Munich, you will remember the slide below, it was part of the 7 key learnings from having done a full RTCDP rollout. The 7 advices goes: 1: Don't sell technical solutions. It's ALL about business value and how you can facilitate that. 2: Making a CDP purchase takes time. So plan to set aside a few years getting from requirements to a working product. 3: Don't forget to define your operating model early and don't forget the business and especially their processes. 4: Find a good mix between internal and external capabilities. 5: Start with use cases, prove value and scale in parallel. 6: Communicate! By default it's a large team, and it's important to keep the flow of learnings going and let everyone know about all the details. And get a program manager! And then lastly, my new favorite meme. Remember that data quality is the foundation for any thoughts of a CDP. Without having this in place, you are building your new house on shaky grounds. Pascal Reder thank you! It was a huge pleasure!
