Why are we so excited about a task chair that ships "knocked down"(KD)? Traditionally, high-end task chairs ship fully assembled. KD allows us to fit 3x as many chairs in a truckload, reducing our carbon footprint and cost. Previously prohibitive extra time, money, and complexity to assemble is solved by Breck which assembles in 23(!) seconds and no tools. One of the many ways Breck is "smartly sustainable" and making sustainable options more accessible. Can Guinness World Records verify if this is the current WR?

What a great day yesterday!!... (I think I like this hosting thing 🤔😃👊!!) So fun!! But how could it not be - with local rap artist Ove Gjelsvik (the original Bergen OG) opening the event with his latest hit track!! 😃👊🎤🚀 #demodayvestlandet2024 #OveGtherapper 🏆 Massive congrats to all the presenting companies. It's not easy to get up and talk about your baby to a bunch of investors so great job!! 👏 Well done in particular to Chargitect and Bú Composite for winning Demo Day Vestland 2024 and the regional finals of DNB 100 Pitches!! 🙌 Jury lead Erlend Waaler from Startuplab (drunk on the power of the stage and keeping us all in suspense! 😆) explained that it was a really tough call to make the final decision, so well done to the jury for making the hard call! Both companies are now off to do it again at the DNB 100 Pitches finals at Oslo Innovation Week!! Dagfinn Nærheim & Jakub Wijata let 'er rip! Big congrats also goes out to 7Analytics for winning the Etablereprisen awarded by Bergen kommune and presented by Reidar Digranes. Great to see this support getting to deserving innovators in the region 👏 💡 Great insights shared by; - Hilde Hukkelberg (Innovation Norway UK) Alexander Bergo, PhD (Innovation Norway San Francisco) (Key message --> Think global! 🌏) and; - Ravi Belani of Alchemist Accelerator, coming all the way from Silicon Valley to speak with us. 💭 Some great thoughts extracted by Ove during the panel discussion - thanks for overviewing the current investor landscape Trond Riiber Knudsen, Ingvild Meland, Roald Brekkhus, Glenn Gill, Kjetil Holmefjord and Ellen Amalie Vold. Main takeaways for me from the panel; 1. Dealflow has slowed a little compared to previous years but the quality of founders and company is higher. 2. It's as important for founders to get local investor buy-in as it is to secure international capital (for reach and network). 🚨Exciting news for companies in Vestland! Gøril Selvik shared some news about the new regional early-stage fund and discussing its importance with Dag Skansen and Johan Odvar Odfjell. Fana Sparebank and Pål Kristian Haugetun delivered a double surprise, committing NOK 2M, then immediately following that with another cheque for NOK 4M!! Totaling NOK 6 Million!! It was a day of reveals and showmanship!! 👏💸🚀 It was a genuine joy and a privilege to host.
