Day 12: (2023) December day 27 Leetcode daily challenge : 1578. Minimum Time to Make Rope Colorful→ Alice has n balloons arranged on a rope. You are given a 0-indexed string colors where colors[i] is the color of the ith balloon. Alice wants the rope to be colorful. She does not want two consecutive balloons to be of the same color, so she asks Bob for help. Bob can remove some balloons from the rope to make it colorful. You are given a 0-indexed integer array neededTime where neededTime[i] is the time (in seconds) that Bob needs to remove the ith balloon from the rope. Return the minimum time Bob needs to make the rope colorful. Approach → greedy solution, any time we encounter two same adjacent character we have to eliminate one of them with the less time. helping organizations chart their course | Team Effectiveness | Leadership Development | People & Culture
Struggling to make progress? When we pause to notice what we've already learned, completed, surpassed, survived....we give ourselves a reason to stand with full pride, with a little more clarity, with motivation to continue on. We give ourselves HOPE in the moment. I love Pejman Milani's illustrations. For yourself, practice this. And, if you're a manager or team leader, consider the impact of practicing this together. Curious? I wrote about it here: https://lnkd.in/gkP7CvbU . . . ---------------- 👋🏼 I'm an Organization Development consultant working with mission-driven teams and leaders who are experiencing challenges related to change and growth. 🎨 I infuse methods into my work with organizations that enhance inclusion and collaboration while also saving time. These methods stem from Positive Psychology and Sociocracy. Do you have a challenging issue with teams repeating the same mistakes over and over? I’d love to be your thought partner. DM me to find a time to meet. ---------------- #processimprovement #teamlearning #learning #learningorganizations #deliberatelydevelopmental #DDO #strategicplanning #goals #structure #organizationdevelopment #engagement #participation #collectivewisdom #positivepsychology #projectmanagement #kaizen #doublelooplearning #continuousimprovement #psychologicalsafety #teams #psychsafety

Nice visual Pejman Milani One one side it reminds me about being grateful for what we have, And on other side it also reminds me of - “Scarcity Mentality vs. Abundance Mentality” Understanding the Mindsets “Scarcity Mentality is a belief that resources are limited.” People with this mindset often feel there’s not enough to go around, leading to fear, competition, and hoarding. They focus on what they lack and worry that if others succeed, there will be less for them. This can result in stress, anxiety, and a reluctance to take risks or share knowledge and resources. “Abundance Mentality, on the other hand, is the belief that there is plenty for everyone.” People with this mindset see the world as full of opportunities and resources. They are more open to collaboration, sharing, and taking risks. They believe in growth, both for themselves and others, and are more likely to support and celebrate others’ successes. This mentality fosters positivity, creativity, and resilience. The Impact on Personal and Professional Life 1. Relationships: • Scarcity Mentality: Leads to jealousy and competition, making it hard to build strong, trusting relationships. • Abundance Mentality: Encourages supportive and collaborative relationships, where people help each other grow and succeed. 2. Career: • Scarcity Mentality: Creates fear of failure and reluctance to share ideas, stifling innovation and career growth. • Abundance Mentality: Promotes sharing knowledge and embracing challenges, leading to personal development and career advancement. 3. Financial Success: • Scarcity Mentality: Focuses on short-term gains and fear of loss, often resulting in poor financial decisions. • Abundance Mentality: Encourages long-term thinking, investment in self-improvement, and confidence in creating wealth. 4. Health and Well-being: • Scarcity Mentality: Causes stress and anxiety, negatively impacting mental and physical health. • Abundance Mentality: Cultivates a positive outlook and reduces stress, promoting better health and well-being. How to Shift from Scarcity to Abundance Mentality 1. Practice Gratitude: • Start each day by listing things you’re grateful for. This helps shift focus from what you lack to what you have. 2. Share and Collaborate: • Look for ways to help others. Sharing your time, knowledge, and resources fosters a sense of abundance. 3. Change Your Self-talk: • Replace negative thoughts with positive affirmations. Instead of saying, “I can’t,” try saying, “I can learn.” 4. Celebrate Others’ Successes: • Instead of feeling envious, celebrate and learn from others’ achievements. This helps create a supportive network. 5. Focus on Growth: • Set personal and professional growth goals. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn & improve. By shifting from a scarcity mentality to an abundance mentality, you open yourself up to new possibilities and a more fulfilling life. #habits #atomichabits #gratitude #abundancemindset
